Method and apparatus for continuously processing conductor cable for disposal or recycling

A continuous processing system and method for the continuous processing of an electrical conductor cable having aluminum strands encasing a steel core directly from a puller or from a puller and reel, simultaneously or on-the-fly during substantially the entirety of a reconductoring or re-stringing of the cable, wherein such cables are used for power lines or for static wires. The system is adapted to cooperate with a pulling machine. The pulling machine may be formed integrally within the system or may be a conventional pulling machine which cooperates with the system. The processing system runs continuously, substantially without interruption, during the pull of all of the cable from the pull zone of the reconductoring or restringing.

Rod coating stripper

A stripper for stripping coating off of coated sucker rod is provided. The stripper can have a frame having spaced-apart and opposing end plates with a passageway for receiving the coated rod. Rollers located in the frame guide the coated rod as it passes through the passageway. A cutting bar contacts the coated rod to cut a strip off of the coated rod, leaving a remainder of coating that can be deflected off of the coated rod by a deflector as the coated rod passes through the stripper.

Treatment method of coated wire

In this treatment method of a coated wire, a coated wire, which is a metal wire coated with a resin, is subjected to low-temperature heating in a non-combustion atmosphere in coexistence with an alkali to embrittle the coating resin, the embrittled coating resin is crushed, and the coating resin and the metal wire are separated.

Wire stripper with clamping device
09608416 · 2017-03-28 ·

An insulated wire clamp device as disclosed for a wire stripper machine comprises a first beveled rotary collar on a first side of a shank and a second beveled rotary collar on a second side of the shank having a cutting blade there between. The collars comprise a first clamp and a second clamp of an insulated wire in a complementary V-shaped wire drive wheel. The wire drive wheel comprises a third and a fourth clamp of the wire on inner sides of the V-shaped wire drive wheel and the cutting blade comprises a fifth clamp of the wire in a cutting plane thereof. Shank spacers between the first collar and the rotary cutting blade and between the second collar and the rotary cutting blade add predetermined and incremental spacing options between three of the five clamps in the cutting plane of the insulated wire in the wire stripping machine.

METHOD AND APPARATUS FOR REPAIRING ISO BUS ELECTRICITY TRANSFER SYSTEMS

The present disclosure provides for an apparatus and method for repairing a damaged conductor of an ISO Bus system. The apparatus comprises an access tube which is insertable into a duct via a flange once an insulator of the ISO Bus system is removed. The access tube is configured so one end connects to the surface of the conductor and the second end remains open to the outside of the duct. The method comprises removing at least one insulator from the ISO Bus system and inserting the access tube through a flange and accessing the damaged conductor with one or more repair tools via an open end of the access tool. Any debris generated during the repair is contained in the access tube and can be easily vacuumed before removing the access tube providing a safe and efficient means for repairing conductors as compared to the prior art.

Device for separating the core and the sheath of a cable and method for separating the core and the sheath of a cable

A device for separating a core and sheath of cable includes an apparatus delivering the cable along cable feed axis parallel to longitudinal axis of cable. Two knives cut sheath to two portions mechanically dissociated from one another. Each knife cuts sheath over its whole thickness in radial cutting zone with respect to central axis of the cable. Two blockers extend the knives in the direction of the feed axis of the cable and keep the core in position along the feed axis of the cable. At least one ramp extends from each knife in a second direction perpendicular to the radial cutting zone and to the feed axis of the cable. The ramp has an outer surface extending away from the cable feed axis in the first direction when movement takes place in the feed direction of the cable to separate the core and the portions of the sheath.
