Modular artificial lighted tree with decorative light string
A decorative light string including a first group of light elements electrically connected in parallel to each other, a second plurality of light elements electrically connected in parallel to each other, and a third plurality of light elements electrically connected in parallel to each other. The first, second, and third groups of lights are electrically connected in series. A first wire stabilizer is located between the first group of lights and the second group of lights, and a second wire stabilizer is located between the second group of lights and the third group of lights. The first and second wire stabilizers secure wire ends forming first and second gaps in the wiring of the light string.

Dielectric cover for high voltage component with hood over hole for retaining pin
For protecting wildlife from electrocution by high voltage components, dielectric covers are used to cover fuse cutouts, insulators, or other high voltage components. The cover includes through-holes for receiving retaining pins to secure the cover in place. The holes are the weak link in flashover prevention since the holes form an air gap, which has a breakdown voltage lower than that of the cover material. To prevent a bird's wing or a squirrel's tail from directly covering the hole in the surface of the cover, an arched or tubular hood is formed around each hole to block the bird or squirrel from directly covering the hole, reducing the risk of a flashover through the hole. The hoods extend out about 1-1.5 inches to essentially add a 1-1.5 inch air gap between the animal and the hole without enlarging the cover.
Dielectric Isolator Fluid Conveyance
This application is directed to dielectric isolation of fluid conveyance systems both Aerospace and Industrial. The dielectric isolator 5 serves to both prevent high voltage surges transitioning down the conveyance distribution system and second as a means to conduct fluid under pressure. This application address the limitations of current art by approaching the challenge as a pure electrical solution. High resistance precision electrical elements 10 are integrated into a one piece high dielectric material housing 15 which embodies the required end fitting interface. Conductive end collars 20 bonded in position to housing 15 and in contact with resistive elements 10, provides the means for conducting electrical energy to the system interface fitting, coupling or connection. The application provides precision resistance from one unit to the next with built in triple redundancy for high life expectation. The application has the ability to withstand high voltage surge up to 30,000 Volts and by virtue of integrated end ferrules eliminates internal arcing and provides a leak proof design.
OVERHEAD POWER LINE INSULATOR INCLUDING A LEAKAGE CURRENT MEASUREMENT DEVICE HAVING EXTENDED BATTERY LIFE
An overhead power line insulator is provided including a device for detecting and measuring a leakage current and for transmitting data, the device being arranged in such a manner as to perform: measuring a leakage current of an insulator during a first measurement period and during a second measurement period in a measurement circuit; comparing two values of the current that are obtained during respective ones of the two measurement periods; and stopping the measurement circuit for a certain sleep period of time if the second value of the current is less than or equal to the first value of the current, and then starting the measurement circuit again after the certain sleep period of time.
Wound electrical component with printed electronics sensor
A wound electrical component includes a wound body comprising a plurality of wound layers of an electrically insulating material around a longitudinal axis of the body. The component also includes at least one printed electronics sensor consisting of printed circuits on a flexible substrate. Each sensor is interleaved between two of the wound layers of the wound body.
Foamed polycarbonate separators and cables thereof
A cable separator includes a body, and the body includes a polycarbonate-based material that is at least a partially foamed. Cables and methods of manufacturing such cables having a separator are also provided.
