APPARATUS AND METHOD FOR PRECISE ANALYSIS OF SEVERITY OF ARTHRITIS
An apparatus for a precise analysis of a severity of arthritis includes an image collection unit configured to collect a medical image having captured a joint of a user, a region detection unit configured to detect one or more regions of interest for analyzing arthritis in the medical image through a learned automatic region detection model, an individual analysis unit configured to extract quantitative feature values from the detected regions of interest and derives one or more individual analysis data from among a severity of arthritis, a severity of osteoproliferation, and a severity of hardness of a subchondral bone based on the feature values, and an integrated analysis unit configured to finely classify a severity of degenerative arthritis through an integrated analysis model learned based on the individual analysis data.
AUTOMATED ANALYSIS OF IMAGE DATA TO DETERMINE FRACTIONAL FLOW RESERVE
A system and method for analysis of a vessel automatically detects a pathology in a first image of the vessel and attaches a virtual mark to the pathology in the first image. The system may detect the same pathology in a second image of the vessel, based on the virtual mark, and may then provide analysis (e.g., determine an FFR value) of the pathology based on the pathology detected in the first and second images.
HYDRAULIC SYSTEM FOR SURGICAL APPLICATIONS
A surgical device includes a plurality of cameras integrated therein. The view of each of the plurality of cameras can be integrated together to provide a composite image. A surgical tool that includes an integrated camera may be used in conjunction with the surgical device. The image produced by the camera integrated with the surgical tool may be associated with the composite image generated by the plurality of cameras integrated in the surgical device. The position and orientation of the cameras and/or the surgical tool can be tracked, and the surgical tool can be rendered as transparent on the composite image. A surgical device may be powered by a hydraulic system, thereby reducing electromagnetic interference with tracking devices.
SAFETY LOGIC FOR SURGICAL SUTURING SYSTEMS
A surgical suturing tracking system is disclosed. The surgical suturing tracking system is configured to detect and guide a suturing needle during a surgical suturing procedure. The surgical suturing track system comprises a control circuit configured to predict a path of a needle suturing stroke after receiving an input from a clinician, detect an embedded tissue structure, and assess proximity of the predicted path and the detected embedded tissue structure.
Optical imaging with unshifted reference beam
An ultrasound emitter launches an ultrasonic signal into a diffuse medium such as tissue. The diffuse medium is illuminated with an infrared illumination signal. activating an ultrasound emitter to launch an ultrasonic signal into a diffuse medium. An infrared reference beam is interfered with an infrared exit signal having an infrared wavelength that is the same as the infrared illumination signal. An infrared image is captured of the interference of the infrared reference beam with the infrared exit signal.
Medical observation system, control method, and program in which illumination light is controlled in accordance with a usage state of an image sensor
A medical observation system, a control method, and a program are provided, which are capable of easily reducing the possibility that illumination light directly enters an eye by accident. A medical observation system 1 includes: an imaging unit 21 that captures an object and generates an image signal; a light output unit 22 that outputs illumination light in a capturing direction of the imaging unit 21; a determining unit 942 that determines the usage state of the imaging unit 21; and an illumination controller 944 that controls illumination light emitted by the light output unit 22 based on a determination result of the determining unit 942.
METHODS FOR DETECTING MICROORGANISMS AND STERILIZING PATHOGENS
A method comprising a wearable device which consists of a smart band and a display unit. The smart band comprises a microbial biosensor, a particulate matter sensor, an enviro sensor, a single board computer, a power supply unit, a band fastener, and a set of watch adapters. The microbial biosensor detects, measures, and monitors beneficial microorganisms and pathogens in a nasal cavity, an oral cavity, or on a surface. The microbial biosensor sterilizer kills pathogens. The particulate matter sensor detects, measures, and monitors a set of suspended particles in the surrounding air comprising beneficial microorganisms, pathogens, pollen grains, dust mite allergens, and an air quality index. The particulate matter sensor sterilizer kills pathogens. The enviro sensor detects, monitors, and measures environmental conditions surrounding the user.
Systems and methods for acquiring PPG signals for measuring blood pressure
Systems and methods for acquiring photoplethysmographic (PPG) signals for measuring blood pressure can include a computing device acquiring a sequence of images representing transdermal optical data of a subject, and generating a corresponding sequence of downsampled color frames. The computing device can identify, in each downsampled color frame, a respective central image block representing a central image region of the downsampled color frame and having a first size smaller than a second size of the downsampled color frame. The computing device can generate, for each downsampled color frame, a corresponding color intensity value based on the respective central image block. The computing device can generate, using color intensity values corresponding to the sequence of downsampled color frames, a PPG signal to determine a blood pressure value of the subject.
Portable hand-held vein-image-enhancing device
It is known in the art to use an apparatus to enhance the visual appearance of the veins and arteries in a patient to facilitate insertion of needles into those veins and arteries. This application discloses a number of inventions that add additional data collection and presentation capabilities to a handheld vein enhancement apparatus and a set of processes for the collection of blood and the delivery of IV medicines that use the handheld device to mediate the process.
System and method for diagnostic vector classification support
The diagnostic vector classification support system and method disclosed herein may both reduce the time and effort required to train radiologists to interpret medical images, and provide a decision support system for trained radiologists who, regardless of training, have the potential to miss relevant findings. In an embodiment, a morphological image is used to identify a zone of interest in a co-registered functional image. An operator's grading of a feature at least partially contained within the zone of interest is compared to one or more computer-generated grades for the feature. Where the operator and computer-generated grades differ, diagnostic support can be provided such as displaying additional images, revising the zone of interest, annotating one or more displayed images, displaying a computer-generated feature grade, among other possibilities disclosed herein.
