Magnetic Flux Engine for Spacecraft Propulsion
As is scientifically well know magnetic flux is a physical force (i.e. the Lorentz force and Ampere's force). The invention utilizes a plurality of electromagnetic and or plasma coils to create high pressure, high velocity magnetic flux directed through variable exhaust nozzles or a cone shaped electrical coil to create thrust for spacecraft.
SUPERCONDUCTING CURRENT CONTROL SYSTEM
One example includes a superconducting current control system. The system includes an inductive coupler comprising a load inductor and a control inductor. The inductive coupler can be configured to inductively provide a control current from the control inductor to a superconducting circuit device based on a load current being provided through the load inductor. The system also includes a current control element comprising a superconducting quantum interference device (SQUID) array comprising a plurality of SQUIDs. The current control element can be coupled to the inductive coupler to control an amplitude of the load current through the load inductor, and thus to control an amplitude of the control current to the superconducting circuit device.
Rare earth cold accumulating material particles, and refrigerator, superconducting magnet, inspection device and cryopump using same
The present invention provides a rare earth cold accumulating material particle comprising a rare earth oxide or a rare earth oxysulfide, wherein the rare earth cold accumulating material particle is composed of a sintered body; an average crystal grain size of the sintered body is 0.5 to 5 μm; a porosity of the sintered body is 10 to 50 vol. %; and an average pore size of the sintered body is 0.3 to 3 μm. Further, it is preferable that the porosity of the rare earth cold accumulating material particle is 20 to 45 vol. %, and a maximum pore size of the rare earth cold accumulating material particle is 4 μm or less. Due to this structure, there can be provided a rare earth cold accumulating material having a high refrigerating capacity and a high strength.

QUBIT CONTROL ELECTRONICS
A device for generating a qubit control signal includes: a first signal envelope generator circuit including a first multiple of signal sources, in which an output of each signal source of the first multiple of signal sources is combined to provide a first cumulative output; and a first mixer circuit coupled to the first signal envelope generator circuit, in which the first cumulative output is coupled to a first input of the first mixer circuit, and an output of the first mixer circuit includes a first qubit control signal.
Feedback control for no-insulation high-temperature superconducting magnet
An active feedback controller for a power supply current of a no-insulation (NI) high-temperature superconductor (HTS) magnet to reduce or eliminate the charging delay of the NI HTS magnet and to linearize the magnet constant.
Electromagnet assembly
An electromagnet assembly has an inner magnet, an outer magnet, arranged around the inner magnet with an annular region extending between the inner magnet and the outer magnet, and a number of support elements extending through the annular region and dividing the annular region into a number of annular segments. The support elements are distributed in the annular region so as to form a small annular segment and a large annular segment.
