POLYMERIZATION APPARATUS FOR DENTAL TECHNIQUE
An object is to provide a polymerization apparatus for dental technique with which both of preliminary polymerization and final polymerization can be carried out by one apparatus. The apparatus includes a plurality of light sources whose light axes run at least in two directions; a cover that covers the light sources, forms a polymerization space inside thereof and switches a formation and closure of an opening that communicates inside and outside the polymerization space; a sensor that detects the formation and closure of the opening by the cover; a controller that receives signals from the sensor, and based on the formation and closure of the opening, turns on some of the light sources having two or more directions of light axis with the opening closed, and turns on some of the light sources having fewer directions of light axis than with the opening closed, with the opening open.
ORTHODONTIC SYSTEM WITH TOOTH MOVEMENT AND POSITION MEASURING, MONITORING, AND CONTROL
An orthodontic system and method for moving and aligning at least one tooth of a set of teeth of at least one of an upper jaw and a lower jaw of a patient. In the system and method an orthodontic appliance can be provided which may include a force exerting member for applying a force to and moving the at least one tooth, a tooth movement sensor member for obtaining at least one of tooth movement data, tooth position data, and tooth identification data, and a tooth movement monitor for calculating at least one of an amount of tooth movement and tooth position from the at least one of the tooth movement data, the tooth position data, and the tooth identification data obtained with the tooth movement sensor arrangement. An electronic control console may be operatively connected to the force exerting member and in data communication with the tooth movement monitor, for controlling the operation of the force exerting member based on the at least one of the tooth movement data, the tooth position data, and the tooth identification data received from the tooth movement monitor.
Dental Care Unit, Control of the Dental Care Unit and Dental Care Room
The invention relates to structures of a dental care unit used in dental care work. In the invention, a frame part of the dental care unit comprises a means to attach a vertically extending support part, and a cover structure (22) of the frame part comprises at least a first and a second cover part (22′, 22″). The support part extends vertically essentially from an area of a seam locus (23) between the cover parts, whereto is arranged a seam element (24). The seam element (24) is preferably arranged to emit light as controlled by a control system of the dental care unit. A dental care unit like this is specifically applicable for use in a dental care room or premises comprising several dental care units.
DENTAL MACHINE TOOL
A dental machine tool includes a first dental machining unit with a first housing and a first machining head. The first housing accommodates a first machining space. The first machining head is arranged in the first machining space and a first machining zone is allocated to the first machining head. A second dental machining unit has a second housing and a second machining head. The second housing accommodates a second machining space. The second machining head is arranged in the second machining space. A second machining zone is allocated to the second machining head. A movable dental object carrier is constructed to receive a dental object and to move the dental object linearly along an X-axis. The movable dental object carrier extends over the first machining zone, the second machining zone and an intermediate zone between the first and second machining zones. The movable dental object carrier is constructed for executing: a first machining movement along the X-axis of the first machining zone, a second machining movement along the X-axis of the second machining zone; and a transport movement in the intermediate zone between the machining zones.
Irrigated surgical guides and methods of manufacturing the same
Provided herein are surgical guides with internal channels for irrigation cooling. In one embodiment, an apparatus for guiding a surgical instrument includes a proximal side and a distal side. A first channel is configured to guide a material removal device, where the first channel extends from the proximal side of the apparatus to the distal side of the apparatus. A second channel configured to direct irrigation fluid, where the second channel extends from the proximal side of the of the apparatus to the distal side of the apparatus. The first channel is separate from the second channel. A method of performing a surgical procedure and a method of manufacturing a surgical guide are also disclosed. In certain embodiments, the surgical guides may be manufactured via additive manufacturing processes, including for example, three-dimensional printing processes.
Dental system and method
Embodiments of the invention provide a laser system including a laser station including at least one laser, at least one processor, and at least one non-transitory computer-readable storage medium in data communication with the at least one processor. The at least one non-transitory computer-readable storage medium includes program instructions executable by the at least one processor, and enabling or operating an exchange of data between the at least one laser station and at least one remote network. The laser system includes at least one GUI display configured and arranged to display operating parameters or functions of the at least one laser and/or any of the data exchanged between the laser station and at least one remote network. The program instructions include instructions that direct the processor to update the at least one GUI display with a plurality of user-selectable graphics arranged around the periphery or circumference of a central display.
Device and Method for Making Space Between Teeth
A device and a method for making space between teeth that can efficiently form a necessary space between adjacent teeth in a short time and reduce the physical burden on both the patient and the person who gives treatment. The device for making space includes an ultrasonic oscillator, an ultrasonic vibrator which receives a driving signal from the ultrasonic oscillator and vibrates ultrasonically, a grinding tip to which the vibration from the ultrasonic vibrator is transmitted, and a power supply device which supplies power to the ultrasonic oscillator. The opposing surfaces of the adjacent teeth T are ground by ultrasonic vibration of the grinding tip inserted between the two adjacent teeth T.
Removable fluid connection fitting for oral irrigator
A removable fluid connection fitting for an oral irrigator is provided. The oral irrigator may include a base unit including an opening formed therein, an oral irrigator handle including a handle inlet, a fitting removably coupled to the base unit and seated within the opening formed in the base unit, and a tube in fluid communication with the fitting and the handle inlet. The fitting may include a fitting inlet and a fitting outlet, the fitting inlet being in fluid communication with the base unit. The tube may be in fluid communication with the fluid outlet. Fluid from the base unit may flow through the fitting inlet, to the fitting outlet, into the tube, and into the handle inlet.
PATIENT ANXIETY MANAGEMENT SYSTEM AND METHOD OF USE
The present disclosure relates to a patient anxiety management system for managing patient anxiety during a dental procedure. In one example, a patient anxiety management system is presented. The patient anxiety management system includes a control module that a patient can use to disactivate a medical device used by a dental professional by way of a trigger mechanism. Upon deactivating the medical device, a recording device, in communication with the control module, plays a recorded message to the patient during a programmable timeframe. Once the patient is calm, the system resets the medical device to an initial operation state by reconnecting but not reactivating the medical device so that the dental professional may resume the procedure when it is safe to proceed.
