Handpiece with slim driving part of direct cooling type
The handpiece includes; an outer housing of a bar shape; a cylindrical core inserted into the outer housing and having an air hole and a water hole; pipes respective inserted into the air hole and the water hole of the core; a rotor made with a cylindrical magnetic material and inserted into the core; cylindrical support rings forcedly fit to both sides of transfer shafts of the rotor; a pair of bearings respectively disposed at the front side and the rear side of the support rings; a coupling disposed in front of the rotor; a front housing joined to the front of the outer housing; a front cap disposed at the rear of the core; a rear cap disposed at the rear of the front cap and having a power supply terminal disposed at one side thereof; and a rear housing joined to the rear of the outer housing.
HAND OPERATED SURGICAL INSTRUMENT HAVING AN IMPROVED TOOL BIT CONNECTOR
The present invention relates to a hand operated dental instrument that allows a user to manually operate tool bits that are ordinarily operated by a power operated tool or a unitary hand-held device. The invention includes a handle that carries a shaft; a bore-hole extending through at least a portion of the shaft for receiving a portion of a tool bit; and a spline receiving slot defined in the shaft. The invention also includes a tool bit having a flange that may carry a spline extending along a portion of a longitudinal axis of the tool bit so that when the tool bit is placed in the bore-hole, the spline receiving slot receives the spline so that when the shaft is rotated, the tool bit rotates.
APPARATUS AND METHOD FOR ENDODONTIC TREATMENT
An apparatus for endodontic treatment, comprising: a nozzle connected to a fluid source comprising: a tip small enough to be inserted into a pulp chamber of a tooth; an inner geometry which forms a flow parameters including non-axial flow direction of nozzle fluid flowing through the inner geometry such that discharge fluid discharged from the inner geometry increase rotation of root canal fluid within a root canal sufficiently to remove tissue from the root canal.
Dental laser apparatus and method of use with interchangeable hand piece and variable foot pedal
A dental laser system for treatment of hard and/or soft tissue includes a main chamber housing optical and primary fluid supply subsystems, for directing a laser beam and fluid to a treatment area. A hand piece affixable to the main chamber, includes mating optical and secondary fluid supply subsystems. The hand piece can be rotatable or re-orientable about an optical axis within the hand piece. A lock can maintain a selectable angular orientation of the hand piece relative to the main chamber. A coupling can maintain a fluidic communication between the primary and secondary fluid supply subsystems even when the hand piece is rotated or re-oriented. A sensor and controller can sense a selected angular orientation of the hand piece and adjust the main optical subsystem according to the sensed angular orientation, to align the two optical subsystems. The laser may be controlled using a variable speed foot pedal.
Portable simultaneous tooth polishing and bleaching system using a full-contact swinging mechanism
A portable tooth polishing and bleaching treatment system is provided for simultaneous tooth surface polishing and bleaching for use at home or in dental clinics. A full contact swinging mechanism is employed to transfer a continuously rotational input from a motor into a back-and-forth swinging movement output. The system comprises an electrically powered handpiece, a detachable swinging angle, a rubber cup, a user-specific thermoplastic gum protector, and a dual-agent mixing set consisting of a separated storage of polishing bleaching agents and an agent mixing tool. The swinging angle alone is used as a prophylaxis angle for dental clinics.
Fluid-driven medical or dental handle
A medical or dental fluid-driven handle with a control or regulation circuit for the control or regulation of the rotational speed of a rotary part to a predetermined rotational speed and methods are presented. The handle comprises a rotary part that can be set in rotary motion by a drive fluid, a fluid line carrying the drive fluid to or from the rotary part or a fluid branch line that is connected to a fluid line carrying the drive fluid, and a control or regulation circuit that is designed to control or regulate the rotational speed of the rotary part. An electrodynamic converter is driven by the rotary part for generating electrical energy. An actuator element is configured to act on the drive fluid and is electrically connected to the electrodynamic converter such that the actuator element is supplied with electrical energy generated by the electrodynamic converter.
DENTAL TREATMENT SYSTEM
A dental treatment system can include a console, a tooth coupler, and an interface member that provides at least one of fluidic, electrical, mechanical, and data communication between the tooth coupler and the console. The tooth coupler (which may comprise a handpiece or a treatment cap) can act as a working end of the system to administer a suitable treatment procedure, such as a cleaning procedure, an obturation procedure, a restoration procedure, etc. The tooth coupler can removably engage the interface member such that the clinician can easily engage and disengage the tooth coupler and interface member.
DRIVER TOOL AND METHOD OF USE
A driver tool for insertion and removal of a first part configured for threaded engagement in a corresponding threaded bore in a second part has a driving end portion of polygonal shape with multiple flats configured for engagement in a recess in the first part having a corresponding polygonal shape. Some or all of the flats have a respective grabbing feature or edge designed to grab or grip into the opposing surface of the recess to allow a greater amount of torque to be applied to the first part when the tool is rotated in the unthreading direction than when it is rotated in the opposite threading or insertion direction.
Interdental Laterally Expansive Wedge
An interdental laterally expansive wedge includes a prismatic wedge member having a furled bottom side expansible from a first position to an expanded position when fluid is forcibly directed into the wedge member through a proximal interconnect. Lateral expansion of the wedge member is thereby effected when each of a pair of basal ridges is forced apart to impress consistent and even pressure in contact with interproximal structure, such as approximal teeth and a matrix band inserted to gird a cavosurface for approximal filling preparation and finishing. Importantly, the present interdental laterally expansive wedge is laterally expansive without effecting deformation or ballooning between and around the teeth, and prevents invasion into the cavity proper.
DIRECT COOLING TYPE HANDPIECE
The present invention relates to a direct cooling type handpiece, and more particularly, to a direct cooling type handpiece that is configured to allow an outer housing and a core to be spaced apart from each other and thus to allow the core to be fixed to a PCB and a support cap, so that air flows to the space between the outer housing and the core, thus efficiently cooling the high heat generated from the handpiece while the handpiece is being operated.
