A mobile part of an electromagnetic actuator for an electric contactor. The mobile part is made up of a flat piece cut from a rolled sheet. This flat piece includes a first stage intended to face towards a fixed part of the actuator and a second stage, side-by-side with the first stage along an axis of movement of the mobile part. A solid section of the second stage, measured in a plane perpendicular to the axis of movement of the mobile part, is smaller than a solid section of the first stage.

The housing includes two windows passing therethrough, one being located facing an area of contact between the mobile conductor and the first fixed electrical conductor and the other being located facing an area of contact between the mobile conductor and the second fixed electrical conductor.

Operation device

An operation device includes a motor capable of forward and reverse rotation, a transmission mechanism configured to convert forward and reverse rotation of the motor into linear ascending and descending motion and to provide tactile stimulation on an operation unit, and a controller configured to control switching of an energizing direction of the motor. The controller is configured to control acceleration such that an amount of ascending movement of the operation unit is increased by increasing driving power in a forward rotation direction of the motor, and to control deceleration such that the ascending movement of the operation unit decelerates by supplying driving power in a reverse rotation direction of the motor, in a predetermined time from when the operation unit starts the ascending movement via the transmission mechanism until a target displacement amount is reached.

When the elastic soft sheath is not deformed, the first and second grounding paths form an open circuit. When the elastic soft sheath is elastically deformed by the external force, the elastic soft sheath electrically connects the first and second grounding paths, enabling the sensing member to function.

An electrical switch includes a fixed contact member and a plurality of movable contact fingers that pivot into and out of engagement with the fixed contact member. The electrical switch also includes a fixed magnetic member and a plurality of U-shaped magnetic members housing the plurality of movable contact fingers. Upon occurrence of a fault condition, each of the plurality of U-shaped magnetic members is magnetically pulled towards the fixed magnetic member, without contacting the fixed magnetic member, such that each of the plurality of movable contact fingers is held in engagement with the fixed contact member.
