Curable dental composite
A polymerizable monomer, a filler (A), and a filler (B) are contained, the filler (A) includes an inorganic particle and a compound covering the inorganic particle, the filler (B) includes another inorganic particle and another compound covering the other inorganic particle, and the average particle size of the filler (B) is 20% to 550% of the average particle size of the filler (A).
Multi-layer film with improved modulus properties
The invention relates to a multi-layer, preferably co-extruded, plastic film with improved modulus properties, which is suitable, in particular, for producing three-dimensionally shaped articles.
METHODS AND COMPOSITIONS FOR DENTAL TISSUE REPAIR AND/OR REGENERATION
The present invention provides methods and compositions for promoting dental tissue repair and/or regeneration, methods for promoting differentiation of dental pulp stem cells, methods for treating periodontal diseases, and methods for treating infection of a dental pulp in a subject in need thereof by contacting the tissue with a composition comprising a triacrylate capable of promoting dental pulp stem cells adhesion and/or proliferation.
Material property monitoring using backscatter devices
Embodiments of the present invention provide devices (tags), systems, and methods to determine structural integrity and other states of materials-of-interest, such as dental fillings, implants, and root canal posts, to name a few, in a non-invasive and contactless way; and using comparatively safe and/or low energy electromagnetic radiation, such as radio waves. Negligible-sized backscatter-tags with sensors are implanted in such materials-of-interest. Using backscatter imaging technology, the structural integrity and other states of the materials-of-interest may be monitored; which may allow non-invasive and contactless detection of problems such as cracking, bending, excessive pressure, improper temperature, and/or the like. Additionally, initially unknown locations of the implanted negligible-sized backscatter-tags with sensors may be readily determined upon a given scanning (reading) session; and thus mapped to provide an effective image of the material-of-interest.
