ROAD VEHICLE PROVIDED WITH A MANUAL CONTROL FOR THE ACTIVATION OF THE HAZARD WARNING FLASHERS

A road vehicle that has: a passenger compartment delimited by a roof at the top; at least one front seat arranged in the passenger compartment; and a manual control arranged on the roof for the activation of hazard warning flashers.

TOUCH INPUT DEVICE

A touch input device includes a base board unit, a movable board unit, an actuating member and a noise reduction member. The base board unit has a distal end portion. The movable board unit overlaps and is connected to the base board unit, and has a free end portion movable toward or away from the distal end portion of the base board unit. The actuating unit includes a switch protruding from the free end portion and extending into the noise reduction member, and an actuating member protruding from the distal end portion. The noise reduction member is compressed by the distal end portion when the free end portion moves to the position adjacent to the distal end portion for the actuating member to actuate the switch.

Keyplate system for an input device

An input device including a housing and a depressible key plate disposed thereon. The key plate includes a front user-accessible portion, a pivot support portion, and a rear portion. A shaft is disposed in the pivot support portion, where the key plate rotates with respect to the shaft. A force sensor is disposed in the housing and in contact with a bottom surface of the front portion of the key plate, and activates in response to receiving a predetermined force by the bottom surface of the front portion of the key plate. The depressible key plate depresses in response to receiving a predetermined depression force on the top surface. A biasing mechanism is disposed in the housing and in contact with the bottom surface of the rear portion of the key plate to provide an upward force tuned to be substantially equal to the predetermined depression force.

A piezoelectric device includes a first region for receiving a pressing operation and a second region located outside of the first region. A piezoelectric element outputs a stronger potential when a pressing operation is applied to the first region than when the pressing operation is applied to the second region.

CONFIGURABLE DEVICE SWITCHING MECHANISM THAT ENABLES SEAMLESS INTERACTIONS WITH MULTIPLE DEVICES

Various embodiments are described herein for an assistive device and associated method for interacting with at least one electronic device. In one example embodiment, the assistive device can include at least one communication interface, a memory, and at least one processing unit. The memory can store a whitelist of the at least one electronic device; and a gesture-to-command map of input signals in linked association with commands, including a selection command and a control command. The processing unit can be configured for sustaining an electronic communication connection to a target electronic device; receiving an input signal generated from user manipulation of a physical interface; searching the gesture-to-command map based on the input signal to determine a command; and using the at least one communication interface to transmit the command to the at least one electronic device thereby allowing the user to use the same assistive device for selecting and/or controlling at least one electronic device.
