COMPRESSION ACTIVATED SWITCH DEVICE FOR LED CIRCUIT BOARDS
Various embodiments of a compression activated switch device for holding light emitting packages are provided. The device includes an electrical switch configured to operatively couple between a light emitting package and a power source. The light emitting package includes a light emitting element on a support, the electrical switch biased to an open position from a closed position. The compression activated switch also includes a coupling component configured to couple the light emitting package to a structure and a biasing element biasing against coupling the light emitting package to the structure with a predetermined force, wherein in response to a force being applied to the coupling component sufficient to overcome the predetermined force the electric switch moves to the closed position. Visual or audible feedback may be provided upon the application of the predetermined amount of force.
Rotary switch employing keypad or similar mechanism for position indication
A rotary switch with a knob having an axis of rotation and moveable to a plurality of angular positions and an elongated member extending in a longitudinal direction relative to the axis of the knob. A conductive member is positioned near a plurality of angularly displaced traces formed on a Printed Circuit Board. When the knob is rotated, the rotation is translated to longitudinal movement of the conductive member, which contacts at least one trace to close a circuit.
Electronic Switch Mechanism
A switch mechanism includes a housing with a fenestration, a switch element held in the housing, and a first tab and a second tab each being pivotally attached to an opposite lateral edge of the fenestration. The tabs are constrained to rotational movement relative to the housing so that contact with the first tab or the second tab causes the respective tab to rotate to actuate the switch element.

Operating device
An operating device includes: an operating section that rotates about a predetermined axis; and a shaft part to move integrally with the operating section. The shaft part has a first end and a second end projected in directions opposite from each other along the axis. A guide regulates movement of the shaft part in a radial direction. A first regulation part specifies a position of the shaft part in a thrust direction by contacting the first end of the shaft part. A second regulation part is press-contacted to the second end, such that the first end of the shaft part is made to contact the first regulation part. A locking part is arranged integrally with the second regulation part, and restricts the shaft part from separating from the guide, by contacting the second end.

Circuit breaker assemblies with changeable orientation
Examples described herein relate to circuit breaker assemblies with changeable orientation. In one example, an apparatus includes a circuit breaker assembly and a circuit breaker housing to receive the circuit breaker assembly. The circuit breaker assembly includes a circuit breaker including a contact, a cover plate attached to a surface of the circuit breaker, and a handle movable between a first position and a second position. The circuit breaker assembly is removably attachable to the circuit breaker housing to change an orientation of the circuit breaker assembly.
Dimmer switch
A dimmer switch for controlling a light includes a wheel assembly, a rotational motion detector and a dimmer control. As the wheel assembly is rotated, the light is dimmed. An on/off control is responsive to a push detector for detecting whether the wheel assembly has been pushed. The on/off control controls where the light is on or off.
Actuating method and device for a helicoidal switch
The present invention relates to an actuating method and device which allows mechanically converting rotational movement into helicoidal movement, said helicoidal movement including considerable travel in the axial direction. To that end, the device comprises a rotating rod (1) inside a fixed outer body (2). The rod (1) comprises an emerging lug (4) sliding between two parallel surfaces (3) of the outer body (2), said parallel surfaces (3) being inclined with respect to the axial axis (5) of the rod (1).
