Safety apparatus comprising a safety switch and an actuator designed to be associated with a movable guard and to interact with each other upon the opening and closing of said movable guard. The safety switch comprises switching means designed to turn between an active state and an inactive state, a locking mechanism for locking the actuator in contact with the safety switch, a control unit connected to the locking mechanism and to the switching means for controlling the same. The safety switch also comprises a main reset member for transmitting a main reset signal to the control unit.

Embedded magnetic component transformer

An embedded magnetic component transformer includes first, second, and auxiliary electrical windings in an insulating substrate including conductive vias joined together by conductive traces. The first electrical windings are divided by a tap terminal into first and second winding portions, which are interleaved with one another and energized by separate transistors. Heat generated by the first and second winding portions is transferred more equally to the separate transistors. Equal or substantially equal path lengths between each of the transistors and the first electrical windings improve flux balance allowing the transistors to conduct for equal or substantially equal times during a switching cycle. Thus, the switching cycle of the embedded transformer is more symmetric with respect to each of the transistors and winding portions, improving the electrical characteristics of the transformer.

Control system

A pushbutton and an electrical switch can be linked to one another so that movement of the pushbutton, for example by a user depressing the pushbutton, can control the switch. The switch can be in a closed position prior to being depressed and in an open position afterwards, or vice versa. A photodetector can be located on the switch side of the pushbutton. The pushbutton can be formed of a material that transmits light so that light can pass through the pushbutton for receipt by the photodetector. The pushbutton can additionally or alternatively be formed with an opening that is sized to receive an object inserted by a user. Insertion of the object can manipulate a second electrical switch, which may control flow of electricity from a battery, for example.

Module arrangement

The invention relates to a module arrangement (1) with a base module and at least one submodule (5); the base module has at least two connection modules. The submodule (5) can be put into contact via a connection module with a choice of one of the connection modules of the base module and can consequently be attached to the base module in different orientations. Detection devices for detecting the orientation of the submodule (5) attached to the base module are provided in the base module.

Kill Switch

A kill switch including a switch assembly. When the switch assembly moves from a switch first configuration to a switch second configuration with the switch assembly operatively connected to a controller of a tractor, a kill electrical signal is provided to the controller to stop the tractor powering a power take-off thereof. A cord is securable to the switch assembly and to the piece of machinery to extend along a rotary drive shaft between the tractor and the piece of machinery. A switch actuating element extends from the cord, the switch actuating element being removably securable to the switch assembly. In the switch first configuration with the switch actuating element secured to the switch assembly, the switch actuating element maintains the switch assembly in the switch first configuration. When the switch actuating element is removed from the actuating element receiving portion, the switch assembly moves to the switch second configuration.
