HIGH-VOLTAGE EARTHING SWITCH
A high-voltage earthing switch is disclosed. A static contact of the earthing switch is connected with the first end of a conductive copper busbar. The second end of the conductive copper busbar is connected with a transformer. The conductive copper busbar includes a first segment and a second segment connected with the first segment. The first segment is one straight segment and an end is taken as an end the first end of the conductive copper busbar. The first segment is parallel to the instantaneous action direction of the moving contact when a moving contact engages the static contact. The first segment extends from the static contact in the direction opposite to the instantaneous action direction of the moving contact when the moving contact engages the static contact. The second segment is connected with the other end of the first segment, and extends towards the side of the first segment facing away from the moving contact. The second segment is located at one side of an extended line of one end of the contacting finger connected with the moving contact when the earthing switch switching-on in the direction opposite to the instantaneous action direction at the moment when the moving contact engages the static contact. An electromotive force between the conductive copper busbar and the contacting finger of the earthing switch of the invention may have a positive effect on a switching-on.
Side break air switch with anti-rolling blade lock
A high voltage, high current, switching device includes a jaw assembly electrically connected to a first electrical conductor, a housing assembly electrically connected to a second electrical conductor and a blade assembly fixedly attached to the housing assembly at a first end thereof. The blade assembly has an electrically conductive blade contact fixedly attached to a second end distal from the first end. Further, the housing assembly and the blade assembly pivot about a first axis to drive the blade contact into the jaw assembly to close the switch and the blade assembly is operable to rotate about a second axis perpendicular to the first axis only when the distal end of the blade assembly is seated in the jaw assembly. Thus, the blade does not pivot about its longitudinal axis prematurely, for example, before it is properly seated in the electrical terminal.
Air break electrical switch having a blade toggle mechanism
An electrical switch includes a pivotally supported blade, a toggle mechanism, and an operating mechanism. The operating mechanism is drivable in a first direction to pivot the blade about a first axis and toward a closed blade position. When pivoting toward the closed blade position, the toggle mechanism inhibits the blade from pivoting about a second axis. Upon reaching the closed blade position, continued motion of the operating mechanism in the first direction causes the toggle mechanism to pivot the blade about the second axis toward a closed contact position. In the closed contact position, the blade contacts at least one blade contact to electrically connect the blade and a first electrical terminal.

QUICKLY CLOSING SWITCH ELEMENT
A switch, in particular a grounding switch, is for quickly establishing a ground connection and for extinguishing an arc fault for a switching system. The grounding switch includes at least one fixed contact having a first cable feed, a moving contact, a contact guide having a second cable feed, and a mechanical energy store. In the opened state, an insulating distance between the fixed contact and the moving contact, is filled with insulation liquid, at least in part. The switch further includes a triggering device and a locking mechanism.
Motorized high voltage in-line disconnect switch with communication system controls
A high voltage in-line air break disconnect switch suspended by an electric power line conductor wherein the switch includes a rotating switch blade that is operated by a communication system controlled motor that may include a switch mounted radio which may be controlled by another radio located at a distance and powered by a solar charged battery. The communication system controlled motorized in-line air break disconnect switch may also be arranged in a three phase installation in a two-way or three-way switching arrangement attached to a utility pole or other structure. The communication system controlled motorized in line air break disconnect switch may in addition be arranged in a phase over phase switching arrangement supported by a utility pole or other structure.
