Dental bone foundation guide with palatal or lingual side gap and freehand surgical guide
A first guide member includes a horizontal body portion and a pair of upright portions. The horizontal body portion has an arcuate configuration and includes a first horizontal surface, a front surface, a rear surface, and a second horizontal surface. The first horizontal surface is flat. The first upright body portion includes a first inwardly extending portion. A first engagement surface of the first inwardly extending portion is configured to rest on a ridge of the alveolar arch of the patient. The second upright body portion includes a second inwardly extending portion. A second engagement surface of the second inwardly extending portion is configured to rest on a ridge of the alveolar arch of the patient. The first guide member lacks a component configured to extend along a lingual or palatal side of the alveolar arch of the patient.
LASER-ASSISTED ORAL SURGERY SYSTEM
Periodontal disorders such as disorders associated with a dental implant are treated. An average power for a laser is selected via a user interface on a tablet, along with a set of permissible laser parameters provided in response to the selected average power. A gingival trough or flap is created around the implant with the laser. Infected tissue is selectively ablated or denatured via photothermolysis, and a pocket is lased around the affected implant. Marginal tissues are compressed against the implant.
DENTAL RESTORATION SYSTEM AND METHOD OF BUILDING A RESTORATION
A dental restoration system (1) for restoring a tooth at least during healing of an implant construction (5) being set into a jaw of a patient comprises a crown abutment (3) and a locking member (2). The crown abutment (2) is configured to be positioned on a gingiva former (4) mounted to the implant construction (5). The locking member (2) has a contact face (212) and a fixing structure (24) configured to be fixed to the gingiva former (4). The crown abutment (3) has a through hole (31) configured to receive the locking member (2) such that the contact face (212) of the locking member (2) contacts the crown abutment (3) and the fixing structure (24) at least partially extends out of the crown abutment (3). The crown abutment (3) is made of an abutment material configured to bond with a crown material used to build a crown (6).
DENTAL RESTORATION SCREW REMOVAL SYSTEM AND METHOD
An aspect of some embodiments of the present invention relates to solutions for the removal of dental implant screws with stripped heads and/or dental implant screws that are difficult to remove. Optionally, the method for removing a dental implant screw comprises a method for removing the head from the shaft of a dental implant screw, for example by drilling. Once the head is removed, the abutment is optionally removed, thereby exposing the threaded screw shaft within the fixture of the implant and/or the mount for aligning the abutment. Optionally, removal of the abutment allows use the attachment to guide removal of a screw shaft.
IMPLANT ABUTMENT CAPABLE OF STABLY ADJUSTING VERTICAL DIMENSION OF OCCLUSION
An implant abutment capable of stably adjusting vertical dimension of occlusion, the implant abutment comprising: an upper coupling portion that is an upper portion coupled to an artificial tooth; a lower coupling portion that is a lower portion coupled to a fixture; an exposed portion that is a portion exposed to the outside between the upper coupling portion and the lower coupling portion, and an adjustment groove that is formed on an outer circumferential surface of the upper coupling portion and inwardly recessed in the upper coupling portion. According to the implant abutment capable of stably adjusting vertical dimension of occlusion of the present invention, although the abutment has a low upper coupling portion, it can maintain stable coupling with the artificial tooth, thereby ultimately ensuring ease of adjusting a height of the abutment.
Dental Implant, Superstructure, And Dental Prothesis
Dental implant and superstructure each with an interface that allows direct attachment of the superstructure to the dental implant without the use of an abutment. The dental implant comprises an anti-rotation element that is arranged in the opening and is configured to prevent the superstructure from rotating about a longitudinal axis relative to the dental implant. The superstructure comprises an interface corresponding to the anti-rotation element, having a recess with two mutually opposite side flanks which are at a first distance from each other in a first region and, in a second region which is at a greater distance from the longitudinal axis than the first region, are at a second distance from each other, the second distance being smaller than the first distance.
APPARATUS FOR IN-SITU RECONDITIONING OF A DENTAL IMPLANT
A device for treating a dental implant in-situ, the device including a shaft, and a plurality of machining tools attached to the shaft at a location between the ends of the shaft, tips of the machining tools arranged to rotate around a longitudinal axis of the shaft when the shaft rotates. A guide for a device for treating a dental implant in-situ, the guide including a first portion shaped as a cylinder, and a second portion with a diameter small enough to fit into a hole in a center of a dental implant, wherein a longitudinal axis of the cylinder of the first portion is concentric with a longitudinal axis of the second portion. Related apparatus and methods are also described.
DENTAL IMPLANT WITH IMPROVED STABILIZATION THREAD FORM AND CUTTING ELEMENTS
An implant for insertion within a maxillofacial bone of a patient, for example a dental implant, including a three-dimensional stabilization thread form extending along at least a portion of the implant body in a first helical direction, and one or more grooves or channels extending through the three-dimensional stabilization thread form in a generally opposite second helical direction, whereby one or more cutting edges are formed at the intersection of the one or more grooves or channels with the three-dimensional stabilization thread form.
Method and system for provisioning of dental implants and related services
The present invention relates to a system and method for dental implant and restorative services. By locating the key functions at one physical location, dental implant services are efficiently provided to patients. These functions include a treatment coordinator, a direct marketer, a restorative doctor/prosthodontist, a surgeon, an imaging area, and a dental laboratory, Further, services for dentate patients are improved by utilizing advanced dental implant methods and systems. These methods and systems include both model-based services and CT (computed tomography) guided surgery services. Using these services, improved surgical guides for dental implants are constructed.
