DEGRADABLE MAGNESIUM TENTING DEVICE FOR FASTER SURGERIES AND IMPROVED OUTCOMES IN VERTICAL RIDGE AUGMENTATION
The invention relates to magnesium screws and screw-like devices for dental implant surgery and, more particularly, to magnesium and magnesium-based tenting devices for implementation in periosteal and gingival tissue overlying an alveolar ridge of a mandible or maxilla to provide vertical ridge augmentation, i.e., bone regeneration. The tenting devices may be composed of magnesium in dry form, such as metallic magnesium and salts thereof; or magnesium alloy including magnesium in dry form and at least one alloying element or compound; or magnesium-polymer composite including magnesium in dry form and at least one polymer.
THREE-DIMENSIONAL LATTICE STRUCTURES FOR IMPLANTS
The three-dimensional lattice structures disclosed herein have applications including use in medical implants, Some examples of the lattice structure are structural in that they can be used to provide structural support or mechanical spacing In some examples, the lattice can be configured as a scaffold to support bone or tissue growth Some examples can use a repeating modified rhombic dodecahedron or radial dodeca-rhombus unit cell. The lattice structures are also capable of providing a lattice structure with anisotropic properties to better suit the lattice for its intended purpose.
MACHINABLE ABUTMENT-INTEGRATED PROSTHETIC BLOCK AND METHOD FOR MANUFACTURING SAME
Provided is a machinable abutment-integrated prosthetic block. The machinable abutment-integrated prosthetic block is structured such that an abutment is integrated with a crown block made of a material requiring no heat treatment after undergoing machining processing. The abutment and the crown block are integrated by an adhesive layer containing a cured product of a polymerizable organic compound. Therefore, the prosthetic block which is an integrated form of the abutment and the crown block can be processed by machining processing such as CAD/CAM processing. Therefore, the prosthetic block can be processed, by machining processing, into artificial teeth to be used as temporary teeth or permanent teeth and does not require no additional heat treatment after undergoing the machining processing, thereby shortening a treatment time for implant restoration, resulting in a one-day prosthesis procedure.
ROOT-ANALOG DENTAL IMPLANTS AND SYSTEMS, DEVICES, AND METHODS FOR DESIGNING AND MANUFACTURING SAME
A root portion of a root-analog dental implant may include a core positioned in an approximate center of the root portion of the dental implant. The core may provide mechanical strength and/or support for the dental implant and may include one or more struts. The root-analog dental implant may further include a porous surface positioned on a portion of a vertically oriented exterior surface of the core. The struts may be configured and arranged to provide mechanical strength and/or support for the root-analog dental implant.
Two-part modelling aid
A two part modelling aid for connection to a dental implant component including a hollow base part and a hollow angled part, each including a tubular side wall extending between apical and coronal ends. The base part side wall includes an anti-rotation section including a non-circular symmetric cross-section in a plane perpendicular to a longitudinal axis of the base part. The angled part side wall forms an apical portion that extends along a first axis and is sized and shaped to form a friction fit with the base part, and a coronal portion extending along a second axis non-coaxial to the first axis. When connected, a closed channel is formed extending from the base part to the angled part, and the first axis of the apical portion is coaxial to the longitudinal axis of the base part and the anti-rotation section is exposed on a base part surface.
Screw retained abutment with off-axis feature and methods of making and using same
An abutment is provided with a screw access hole and a slot in its sidewall adapted to allow a driver to access a screw in the screw access hole at an angle relative to a longitudinal axis of the screw. The abutment may include a screw seat and may be connected to an implant via a screw in the screw seat. A prosthesis, which may include a driver access channel that has a diameter less than the outer diameter of the drive portion of the screw, may be placed over the abutment. Methods of making a dental prosthesis and methods of attaching and removing the dental prosthesis from the implant are also disclosed.
Dental implant guiding tool set and dental implant guiding sleeve thereof
A dental implant guiding tool set and a dental implant guiding sleeve thereof are disclosed. The dental implant guiding tool set includes a handpiece, a dental implant guiding sleeve and a tooth mold fastening device. The dental implant guiding sleeve includes a handpiece head guiding hole disposed axially and corresponding to a shape of the handpiece head of the handpiece, a lateral opening disposed on a side of the handpiece head guiding hole and corresponding to a connection handle of the handpiece. The dental implant guiding sleeve can directly guide the handpiece head of the handpiece, to prevent the dental implant guiding sleeve from directly contacting the drill bit mounted on the handpiece. Therefore, a conventional drill bit can be directly used for a guiding dental implant operation, and the minimal required operation space of the dental implant guiding tool set can be reduced.
Method of implanting dental restoration
In order to improve the reliability of a dental restoration, a method of implanting the dental restoration is provided. The method includes virtually disposing a virtual implant selected from a digital library on the basis of a CT image to correspond to an implantation information, and a virtual implanting guide sleeve, which is virtually and concentrically disposed to be spaced upward from an upper end portion of the virtual implant by an offset distance, and a scanning image overlap and are integrally stored; and generating design information of a surgical guide, wherein a virtual coupling hole corresponding to an outer circumference of the virtual implanting guide sleeve is formed in the design information.
Methods of Designing and Manufacturing Customized Dental Prosthesis For Periodontal or Osseointegration and Related Systems
Methods of manufacturing dental prosthesis/implants each to replace a non-functional natural tooth positioned in a jawbone of a specific pre-identified patient are provided. An example method includes the steps of receiving imaging data such as x-ray image data and surface scan data of a dental anatomy and/or a physical impression of the dental anatomy of a specific preidentified patient. The steps can also include forming a three-dimensional virtual model of at least portions of a non-functional natural tooth positioned in the jawbone of the specific pre-identified patient based on the imaging and surface scan data, virtually designing a dental implant based upon the virtual model, exporting the data describing the designed dental implant to a manufacturing machine, and custom manufacturing the dental implant for the specific patient.
Forceps for removing dental implant fixture
An object of the present invention is to provide forceps for removing a dental implant fixture, in which pinching portions securely hold a fixture to remove the fixture implanted in an alveolar bone, and thus to prevent the pinching portions from slipping out of the fixture. Forceps for removing a dental implant fixture according to the exemplary embodiment of the present invention include: a pair of handles; coupling portions extended from the handles, crossed, and hingedly coupled; pinching portions connected to the coupling portions; and holding pieces protruding from ends of the pinching portions in a direction toward a center of a dental implant fixture and each having an arc corresponding to at least a part of an outer circumference of the fixture so that the holding pieces are inserted into a trough of a threaded portion formed on the outer circumference of the fixture.
