The method also includes scanning at least a first jaw impression for the orthodontic treatment; scanning a bite impression for the orthodontic treatment; matching the scanned first jaw impression with the scanned bite impression; comparing bite information with a tooth occlusal surface; and determining if reconstruction is to be performed on the tooth occlusal surface.

Method for defining a finish line of a dental prosthesis
RE049541 · 2023-06-06 · ·

A computer-based prosthodontic method is provided, for enabling a dental practitioner to define a finish line of a dental prosthesis of at least one tooth to be fitted over a tooth preparation. The method comprises the following steps: providing a three-dimensional (3D) digital data relating to the patient's dentition, the 3D data includes data representative of the surface topology of the preparation and its surroundings; generating first finish line data representative of at least a portion of the finish line and superimposing an image of the finish line on an image of the dentition; obtaining second finish line data determined on the basis of input received from a dental practitioner; and using the second finish line data to update the first finish line data and superimposing the updated data on the dentition image.

METHOD FOR MONITORING DENTITION

A method for optimizing initial discriminating information extracted from a two-dimensional image of the patient dental arches, referred to as “acquired image”, by a three-dimensional digital reference model of at least one portion of a patient arch, the method including the steps: C1. assessing quality of the initial discriminating information and quality threshold, filtering to keep only the initial discriminating information that has quality higher than the quality threshold, and defining “the discriminating information to be tested” as the initial discriminating information selected; C2. testing consistency between the discriminating information to be tested and reference model; C3. assessing test result and, in accordance with the assessment: adding discriminating information that was not kept to the discriminating information to be tested and/or deleting discriminating information from the discriminating information to be tested, and then returning to step C2. or; defining the optimal discriminating information as the discriminating information to be tested.

Device for recording centric jaw relation and orientation jaw relation simultaneously
11259907 · 2022-03-01 ·

The device for recording centric jaw relation and orientation jaw relation simultaneously is disclosed that provides an accurate and precise recording of centric jaw relation as well as orientation jaw relation recording and transfer. The device includes a central bar, a centric relation recorder, a dentulous adjustable fork or an edentulous fork, a semi-circular frame, a nasion pointer and an orbital pointer. The central bar is received by a plurality of clamping assemblies that adjustably position the nasion pointer, the adjustable fork or the edentulous fork and the centric relation recorder respectively. The device can be used in case of both, dentulous as well as edentulous subjects. The device can advantageously transfer the centric relation record to any semi-adjustable articulators or non-adjustable articulators.

ANTIMICROBIAL-ANTIBIOFILM COMPOSITIONS AND METHODS OF USE THEREOF FOR PERSONAL CARE PRODUCTS

Compositions comprising one or more chelating agents and optionally zinc ion salts are used to inhibit the growth or biofilm formation in bacteria associated with personal care products such as ophthalmic, pedicure, manicure or podiatric solutions. The compositions of the present application can also comprise gelling agents, antimicrobials, antibiotic or a pH adjuster. The compositions may be in the form of a solution, a gel, a cream, a jelly, a powder, a paste, a lotion, soap and a cleaner.

Method for preparing a physical plaster model
11253337 · 2022-02-22 · ·

The invention provides a method for creating a physical teeth model. The method comprises the following steps: providing a virtual three dimensional (3D) representation of a patient's dentition that comprises at least a region of the teeth that includes a tooth stump on which a crown is to be fitted or a region on to which a bridge is to be fitted; and preparing a physical model of the jaws of a subject from a blank, based on information from said virtual 3D image.

Vertically adjustable rotational stabilizer for a disposable articulator

A vertically adjustable rotational stabilizer (10) for a disposable articulator is provided. The articulator comprises a hinged pair of support arms, each support arm having a proximal end and a distal end, with the proximal ends of the support arms being hingedly fitted together. Each arm defines an opening or cavity between its distal and proximal ends. The vertically adjustable rotational stabilizer (10), in broad terms, comprises at least one body (30, 66) secured or securable to the support arms (14, 16) and positioned substantially within the opening defined by the support arm, and an elongate member (56) being adjustable relative to the at least one body so as to adjust and fix the distance between the distal ends of the support arms (14, 16).

Methods, systems and accessories useful for procedures relating to dental implants

A method and system are provided for manufacturing a physical dental model. A virtual model is provided representative of at least a portion of the intra-oral cavity including at least one dental implant implanted therein, and the virtual model includes a virtual portion representative of each dental implant. The virtual spatial disposition of each such virtual portion is determined with respect to the virtual model, corresponding to a real spatial disposition of the respective implant with respect to the intra oral cavity. A physical model is then manufactured based on the virtual model, the physical model including a physical analog corresponding to each implant at a respective physical spatial disposition with respect to the physical model corresponding to the respective virtual spatial disposition of the respective virtual portion with respect to the first virtual model as already determined. In some embodiments, a jig is provided configured for maintaining a desired physical spatial disposition between the physical analog and a cavity of the physical dental model at least until the physical analog is affixed in the cavity.
