PATIENT INDIVIDUAL PHYSICAL TRANSFER KEY
20230372070 · 2023-11-23 ·

The invention relates to a method for configurating a patient individual physical transfer key for transferring a virtually defined first position of a three-dimensional virtual representation of a physical model of a patients dentition within a 3D virtual representation of a physical articulator to the physical model of the patients dentition and the physical articulator. A 3D virtual representation of the physical transfer key is generated and provided for generating the physical transfer key. The transfer key is configured to be connected to a first support section of the articulator and to support a first one of the 3D virtual representations of the model components of the dentition model at the first position.

Articulator and articulator auxiliary device

An articulator having a maxillary member and a mandibular member, which are connected to each other via condylar articulations, wherein a maxillary adaptor is attachable or attached at the maxillary member and a mandibular adaptor at the mandibular member, wherein a maxillary alignment member especially is form-fittingly connected to the maxillary adaptor and a mandibular alignment member is especially form-fittingly connected with the mandibular adaptor, and wherein the alignment members are automatically alignable to each other and comprising scanning members, by means of which the arrangement of alignment members and adaptors is scannable in a scanner and especially the relative position thereof moreover is detectable in relation to the articulator via the scanner.

MONITORING OF DENTITION

A method includes the following steps of (i) production with a 3D scanner, of a three-dimensional digital reference model of at least part of a dental arch of the patient, or “initial reference model”; (ii) acquisition, in actual acquisition conditions, by the patient or one of his or her close relatives, with a mobile phone, of at least three two-dimensional images of the dental arches of the patient corresponding to a front view, a right-side view and a left side view of the teeth of the patient, respectively, called “updated images”; and (iii) searching, through modification of the initial reference model, for a final reference model corresponding to the positioning and/or the shape of the teeth on the updated images.

METHOD FOR ALIGNING DIGITAL REPRESENTATIONS OF A PATIENT'S JAWS
20220218448 · 2022-07-14 · ·

A method of aligning two 3D digital representations of at least a part of each of the upper and lower jaw of a patient, the method including segmenting the 3D digital representations to determine the shape and position of each of the patient's teeth in each of the 3D digital representations; and using a set of known anatomical concepts to constrain the fit of the two 3D digital representations to get a preliminary fit.

Method and apparatus for generation of 3D models with applications in dental restoration design

Methods and apparatus are provided for generating computer 3D models of an object, by registering two or more scans of physical models of an object. The scans may be 3D scans registered by a curve-based registration process. A method is provided for generating a 3D model of a portion of a patient's oral anatomy for use in dental restoration design. Also provided are scanning workflows for scanning physical models of an object to obtain a 3D model. A scanner is provided for scanning physical models of a patient's dentition to obtain scans for generating a 3D model of a patient's dentition.

Virtual Dental Articulator And System
20220233285 · 2022-07-28 · ·

A system and method for creating a model of a patient's mandible and any teeth supported from the mandible and manipulating the mandible relative to anatomical features of the patient's maxilla. The system uses markers positioned on the mandible and on the maxilla to create a functional mandibular axis that approximates an axis through the condyles of the patient. The functional mandibular axis and geometric and anatomical information about the patient's upper and lower jaw are then used to create prostheses for the patient. The system is also used for making corrections to the prosthesis.
