TOUCH SENSITIVE KEYBOARD WITH FLEXIBLE INTERCONNECTIONS
Touch sensitive mechanical keyboards and processes for detecting touch events and key depressions on the touch sensitive mechanical keyboard are provided. The touch sensitive mechanical keyboard can include a set of individually depressible mechanical keys having a touch sensitive surface. A touch sensor layer can be disposed on top of a key mechanism and flexible interconnections provided between key segments of the touch sensor layer can allow for depression of the key mechanism of individual keys. In some examples, the flexible interconnections can be formed by patterning a spring-like structure into the touch sensor layer. In some examples, the touch sensor layer can be transparent or include openings to allow a backlight to shine through. In some examples, addressable LED backlighting with buckling interconnects can also be provided to illuminate keycaps of the mechanical keyboard.
Specialized Key Switches for Electronic Key Caps
This application is directed to system, devices, and methods of keyboard key switches that facilitate electrical connections to specialized keycaps. In some embodiments, a serial connection (e.g., USB or any serial protocol) can be created and maintained between a key switch of the inventive subject matter and a specialized keycap that couples with a top portion of the key switch's plunger. Key switches of the inventive subject matter incorporate spring probes to create electrical connections between a printed circuit board disposed below the key switches and the top portions of the key switches' plungers. Thus, different regions of a key switch's plunger can feature different conductive regions, which facilitates creating electrical connections between a PCB and a specialized keycap.
Haptic keyswitch structure and input device
A keyswitch structure includes a keycap layer having a keycap region and a peripheral region adjacent to the keycap region, a circuit layer disposed under the keycap layer, a haptic actuator electrically connected to the circuit layer, a supporting structure layer being disposed under the circuit layer and having an accommodation space for accommodating the haptic actuator, and an adhesive layer disposed between the keycap layer and the circuit layer corresponding to only the peripheral region.
Haptic keyswitch structure and input device
A keyswitch structure includes a keycap layer having a keycap region, a circuit layer disposed under the keycap layer, at least a haptic actuator disposed under the circuit layer and electrically connected to the circuit layer, a cushion layer disposed under the circuit layer and having an accommodation space for accommodating the haptic actuator, a sensing unit disposed under the cushion layer, and a control circuit coupling the sensing unit and the circuit layer, wherein when an external force is applied and delivered through the cushion layer to trigger the sensing unit, the sensing unit outputs a trigger signal, and the control circuit receives the trigger signal and outputs a driving signal to drive the haptic actuator to vibrate.
ELECTRONIC COMPONENT
An electronic component of the present invention includes a resin case, and a terminal that is partially exposed from the resin case. Also, a first side surface along a protruding direction of the terminal includes a first plated surface and a first non-plated surface, and the first non-plated surface extends from a part of an upper end of the first side surface to a part of a lower end of the first side surface. Moreover, the first non-plated surface includes a first region that is exposed from the resin case, and a second region that is embedded in the resin case.
