20170360537 · 2017-12-21 ·

A fluid emitting dental pick device for cleaning is having a handle defined by a body having an interior cavity. A pick component engaged to one end of the body bifurcates a pressurized fluid stream into two individual fluid streams projecting in opposing directions to clean both sides of the teeth concurrently. An optional reservoir holding a secondary fluid can also be employed which mixes fluid from the reservoir into the pressurized fluid stream which is delivered to the teeth with the two individual fluid streams.

09844432 · 2017-12-19 ·

A dental flossing device comprising a first body circumscribing a void adapted to receive one or more fingers of a user, an outward-facing surface, opposite from the void, having a first segment comprising at least one pair of cleats arranged to define a circumferential groove for receiving and carrying one or more revolutions of the dental floss formed by wrapping the dental floss along the circumferential groove. A second segment of the outward-facing surface includes a fastener comprising a depression, a crown with a base wall and a niche in the base wall, and a pedestal that connects the base wall of the crown to a floor of the depression. The base wall, niche and the pedestal are configured to provide a space located between the floor of the depression and the base wall to receive and secure a free end of the dental floss. The device permits users to easily hold and manipulate the dental floss into position for flossing, eliminating the problems associated with gripping dental floss directly with the hands.

Dental hygiene device

A dental hygiene device such as an interdental brush includes a handle, a brush head having bristles extending therefrom, and a neck portion extending between the brush head and the handle. The neck portion of the dental hygiene device is configured to provide two modes of operation, a first cleaning mode of operation wherein the brush head contacts the teeth at a first pressure for a given application pressure, and a second cleaning mode of operation wherein the brush head contacts the teeth at a second pressure, greater than the first pressure, for the same given application pressure.

An interdental brush (1) comprises a body (4) with a handle (5) and a guide channel (7). Also provided is a connecting element (9), which connects a cleaning body (3) to an operating element (6). The connecting element (9) with the cleaning body (3) can be displaced in a reciprocating manner within the guide channel (7), by means of the operating element (6), between a retracted position, in which the cleaning body (3) is arranged within the guide channel (7), and an extended position, in which the cleaning body (3) projects out of the guide channel (7) at a distal end of the guide channel (7), as seen in relation to the handle (5). A flexible positioning element (2) is provided at the distal end of the guide channel (7). The positioning element (2) can be placed in an approximal space between two teeth such that the cleaning body (3), during displacement into the extended position, penetrates into the approximal space. The reciprocating displacement of the cleaning body (3) can be induced by movement of the operating element (6) relative to the positioning element (2) of the interdental brush (1).
