INTERDENTAL CLEANING TOOL

Provided is an interdental cleaning tool that can be smoothly inserted between back teeth. An interdental cleaning tool according to the present invention includes: a cleaning tool body that is made of a synthetic resin, and includes a grip portion that is capable of being gripped with fingers of a user and a shaft portion that extends in one direction from the grip portion; and a cleaning portion configured to clean between teeth, covering a leading end of the shaft portion, and made of an elastomer, wherein (angle b)/(angle a) is 0.82 or more, where the angle a is a rotational angle (degrees) when a torque value A is measured, the torque value A being a maximum torque value (N.Math.cm) when the grip portion is rotated at a rotational speed of 10 rpm about a position located 6 mm away from a leading end of the cleaning portion, and the angle b is a rotational angle (degrees) when a torque value B is measured, the torque value B being a maximum torque value (N.Math.cm) when the grip portion is rotated at a rotational speed of 10 rpm about a position located 10 mm away from the leading end of the cleaning portion.

IRRIGATOR FLUIDIC COMMUNICATION

An oral irrigator having an irrigator tip, the tip including a handle portion, a tip portion, a channel in fluid communication with the tether and arranged within the handle portion and the tip portion, and an actuator located on or within the handle portion, the actuator arranged to at least partially altar a flow of a fluid through the channel. The oral irrigator further includes a housing, the housing having a reservoir in fluid communication with a pump sub-assembly, a sensor arranged to measure a first pressure or first electrical load within the pump sub-assembly, and a control unit arranged to control an operational current provided to the pump sub-assembly where operation of the actuator produces a second pressure or electrical load measured by the sensor and the control unit is arranged to alter the operational current of the motor in response to the change.

Disclosed is a method, and a system, for accomplishing the in situ formation of a gel in an interdental space. This is useful for the interdental application of one or more dental care agents, such as antimicrobial agents or other anti-plaque agents. The invention makes use of a two component system comprising a gelable liquid and a liquid gelling agent capable of bringing about gelation of the liquid. The system of the invention is arranged such that first the gelable, typically viscous, liquid can be applied, and then the liquid gelling agent is forced, e.g. jetted, into the applied gelable liquid. The system is designed such as to prevent the gelling agent and the gelable liquid to come into contact with each other before both have been applied. The system is configured to allow the gelable liquid to be applied prior to the gelling agent.

Interdental brush

An interdental brush realizing reuse of parts by a simple structure includes a shaft portion including an internal passage which extends in an axial direction and of which distal end and base end are opened; and a brush on which fibers are implanted over an entire area of a core that is longer than extension length of the internal passage. The shaft portion further includes a grip portion of which a state is changed between a gripping state for gripping the brush, which has been inserted into the internal passage from an opening on a base end side and of which a part protrudes from an opening on a distal end side, to restrict the brush from moving in the axial direction, and a releasing state for releasing gripping of the brush to allow the brush to move in the axial direction.
