Oral hygiene tool
A oral hygiene tool has a tongue scraper and a toothbrush. The tongue scraper includes an elongate connector body, a scraper blade being on a first end transverse to the elongate connector body. A slide control mechanism extends from a second end of the elongate connector body. An interlocking structure has a laterally extending ridge. The toothbrush includes an elongate toothbrush body that has a plurality of brushes and a bore that extends into a distal end of the elongate toothbrush body. A slot extends longitudinally along part of the elongate toothbrush body into the bore, while first and second lateral grooves extend laterally into the slot. The interlocking structure is adapted to be slidably inserted into the bore of the elongate toothbrush body such that the interlocking structure is pushed outwardly into the slot of the elongate toothbrush body.
DENTAL APPARATUS CONTAINER
A dental apparatus container, including a main body to receive at least one of a dental apparatus and cleaning fluid therein, and a lid connected to the main body to cover at least a portion of the main body.
Portable simultaneous tooth polishing and bleaching device using single-rod-swinging mechanism
A portable tooth polishing and bleaching treatment device is provided for simultaneous tooth surface polishing and bleaching for use at home or in dental clinics. A single-rod-swinging mechanism, either using tilt-rod-driving or bent-rod-driving, is employed to transfer a continuously rotational input from an electric power into a back-and-forth swinging movement output. The device comprises a battery-powered handpiece with a detachable swinging angle, a dual-functional rubber cup, a user-specific thermoplastic gum protector, a dual-agent mixing set consisting of a separated storage of polishing and bleaching agents and an agent mixing tool. The swinging angle alone is used as a prophylaxis angle for dental clinics.
SYSTEMS AND METHODS FOR PERSONALIZED ORAL IRRIGATION
Described herein are systems and methods for providing personalized oral irrigation. One variation of a system for personalized oral irrigation comprises a fluid reservoir and a customized oral insert in fluid communication with the fluid reservoir. The oral insert comprises an arrangement of fluid openings positioned based on the individual oral or dental structures of a user's teeth to provide a customized fluid flow over the user's teeth. Also described herein are methods for generating an arrangement of fluid openings in a customized oral insert.
MANUAL TOOTHBRUSH
A manual toothbrush, including a disposable head comprising a thermoplastic material and a reusable handle comprising an aluminum material, has a center of gravity, a longitudinal axis, and mutually opposite front and back sides. The handle has a proximal end, which is adjacent to the head when the head is attached to the handle, and a distal end opposite thereto. The center of gravity lies within the handle even when the brush head is loaded with toothpaste, wherein the center of gravity is arranged at or in close proximity to the pivot point of a wrist joint of a user brushing teeth, which arrangement facilitates precise and accurate brushing movements by the user. The handle's proximal end terminates with a chamfered surface, wherein the chamfered surface and a cross-sectional area perpendicular to the axis form therebetween an angle from about 15 to about 30 such that one of the front side and the back side of the handle is shorter than the other.
Dental cleaner discharge guard systems and methods
Rotating dental systems and related guards and methods are disclosed. In some embodiments a guard is configured to prevent material from building up on at least a portion of the dental system. In some embodiments the guard is configured to prevent materials from being discharged from the dental system. In some embodiments, the guard is configured to direct the flow of material along a portion of the dental system. Some guards within the scope of this disclosure include bristles.
Dental device with load-responsive motor control
A motor-driven dental device has a motor control that is responsive to a load placed upon the motor. More specifically, the invention relates to a dental device having motor that drives a tool, wherein the tool is activated or otherwise controlled in response to a load placed upon the motor through the tool, such as by touching the tool to a surface. The tool may also be controlled by the sustenance, over a predetermined time period, of an increase or decrease in motor current beyond a predetermined hysteresis current threshold. The motor may be an electric motor, a rotary electric motor, and air driven motor, an ultrasonic device or the like.
Bio-resorbable debride or implant cleaning tool and method of manufacturing the same
The present invention is directed to a debridement and/or implant cleaning tool 1 in which the means for cleaning 4 is made of a biodegradable material. Thus, if parts of the means for cleaning 4 come loose during use, these will be degraded by natural processes in the body and will not remain in the body and cause negative body reactions.
