MANDIBULAR OR MAXILLARY DEVICES HAVING A POLYMERIC NANOCOMPOSITE ACTIVELY CONTROLLED FOR HARD PALATE OR MANDIBULAR GROWTH
Medical devices have a polymeric nanocomposite treatment portion configured for contact with a treatment site within an oral cavity of a user and configured for operative communication with a controller. The polymeric nanocomposite treatment portion has a mucosal contact layer comprising a biocompatible polymer and defining a plurality of pores therethrough; a continuous support layer comprising a biocompatible polymer; an electronic network layer between the mucosal contact layer and the continuous network layer; and a means for applying pressure to the treatment site. The electronic network layer has carbon nanostructures and has a quantum micro-chiplet QMC or an octagonal quantum micro-chiplet integrated with a photonic integrated circuit. The electronic network layer is in operative communication with the controller and the power source. A pressure sensor that measures growth pressure is present and is positioned at the treatment site.
INTERDENTAL CLEANING INSTRUMENT
An interdental cleaning instrument is equipped with a base part and a cleaning part. The base part has a shaft part and a grip part. At least the shape of the base part is set in a manner such that a first pressing force required to press a portion spaced 2.5 mm apart from a tip of the cleaning part in 10 mm is 0.3 N or more and 1.4 N or less in a state in which a portion spaced 10 mm apart from the tip of the cleaning part is fixed, and a second pressing force required to press a portion spaced 8.0 mm apart from the tip of the cleaning part in 10 mm is 0.5 N or more and 2.5 N or less in a state in which a portion spaced 35 mm apart from the tip of the cleaning part is fixed.
Anatomical adaptable drape device
An anatomical drape (1a or 1b), such as a dental drape, for covering a treatment area of an anatomical part, the drape comprising an elastomeric material capable of conforming to the contours of the anatomical part and including a curing agent (9) contained within internal channels distributed in the drape; and wherein activation of the curing agent, for example by a light source, causes hardening of the material to at least partially set the drape in a configuration conforming to the anatomical part. The semi-rigid set drape is liquid impermeable but gas permeable. A method of manufacturing the drape is also disclosed.
DENTAL TREATMENT DEVICES COMPRISING SILICONE-LIKE ELASTOMERIC MATERIAL
Non-customized dental treatment trays used to provide a desired treatment are formed from elastomeric silicone or silicone-like material. They may be molded from a two-part liquid silicone composition or a silicone-like TPE material (e.g., preferably SEBS and/or VERSAflex thermoplastic elastomer). The dental treatment trays possess high adaptability, flexibility, softness, and elastic elongation while also exhibiting resiliency in order to readily conform to the ridges, depressions and contours of a person's teeth during use. The trays possess a greater ability to adhere to a person's teeth compared to non-elastomeric thermoplastic materials. Due to their high adaptability and conformability, the non-customized dental trays behave like a semi-custom dental tray when placed over conformed to a person's teeth, particularly when used in combination with a sticky, viscous treatment composition.
ANATOMICAL ADAPTABLE DRAPE DEVICE
An anatomical drape (1 a or 1b), such as a dental drape, for covering a treatment area of an anatomical part, the drape comprising an elastomeric material capable of conforming to the contours of the anatomical part and including a curing agent (9) contained within internal channels distributed in the drape; and wherein activation of the curing agent, for example by a light source, causes hardening of the material to at least partially set the drape in a configuration conforming to the anatomical part. The semi-rigid set drape is liquid impermeable but gas permeable. A method of manufacturing the drape is also disclosed.
ORTHODONTIC COMPOSITE AND METHOD FOR PREPARING SAME
Disclosed is an orthodontic composite, comprising: an orthodontic member which has a tube shape, a hollow polygonal prism shape, a hollow truncated polygonal pyramid shape, a hollow truncated cone shape, or a funnel shape; and an orthodontic wire that is inserted into the hollow portion of the orthodontic member, wherein the orthodontic member includes a water-soluble or biodegradable material. Thereby, the orthodontic composite of the present invention making it simple to perform orthodontic treatment by attaching the orthodontic composite.
DENTAL BRIDGE AND METHODS FOR ITS MANUFACTURE AND INSTALATION
A matrix for making a dental bridge includes a body of a tooth portion and wings, and an interior of the body for receiving a curable flowable material.
FINISHING ENDODONTIC FILE AND METHOD OF USE THEREOF
The present invention relates to dentistry, and particularly, to a rotary endodontic finishing file used for root canal treatment. The endodontic finishing file comprises a shank for inserting in an endodontic motor handpiece, and a core of twisted metal braids secured in the shank, the said core being provided with an outer braid made of wire wound over the core. The length of the braid is less than the length of the core. At the braid-free end of the core, a brush of the core braids is formed. The winding of the wire of the outer braid is made in four layers, the winding of the first and third layers is made in the direction from the shank to the brush without a gap between the adjacent coils in each layer, the winding of the second and fourth layers is made in the opposite direction, providing the possibility of securing both ends of the braid wire in the shank. The winding pitch in the second and fourth layers is 8 to 10 times greater than the winding pitch in the first and third layers of the braid, the winding length of the third and fourth layers in the direction from the shank to the brush is less than the winding length of the first and second layers. The core is made of three twisted elastic tungsten wires, the open ends of which, located in the braid-free portion of the core, are of a cylindrical helix shape and curved in the form of a conical helix with an increasing pitch of turns for each strand of the core, whereby the curved ends of the brush wires are inserted into the canal separately and sequentially one after another with the motor turned off, each inserted wire being pressed against the walls of the canal during the insertion of the file. The proposed technical solution allows to provide high-quality and safe treatment, reduce the risk of injury during treatment, and also increase the service life of the endodontic file.
DAMAGE-RESISTANT ZIRCONIA SINTERED BODY WITH HIGH STRENGTH, HIGH TOUGHNESS AND ANTIBACTERIAL PROPERTIES
A method that includes: (a) ceramic injection molding a granulated mixture of yttria-stabilized zirconia powder and a thermoplastic organic binder resulting in an injection molded ceramic body; (b) heat treating the injection molded ceramic body under conditions sufficient for removing the thermoplastic organic binder from the injection molded body; (c) applying a solution to the injection molded ceramic body, the solution comprising a tantalum-containing material, a niobium-containing material, or a mixture of a tantalum-containing material and a niobium-containing material and penetrating at least a portion of the injection molded ceramic body with the solution; (d) sintering the injection molded ceramic body; and (e) hot isostatically pressing the sintered injection molded ceramic body.
