HYBRID DENTAL APPARATUSES AND TECHNIQUES FOR MAKING THE SAME
Dental apparatuses, such as palatal expanders and aligners, and methods of forming them. The dental apparatuses may formed by printing different regions of the device with different properties, including hybrid regions formed between adjacent regions having different physical characteristics for performing different functions when worn by a patient as part of a dental treatment. The different regions may be joined together by a transition region configured to hold adjacent regions together during use and provide advantageous properties.
MULTI-LAYERED DENTAL APPLIANCE
A dental appliance for positioning a patients teeth includes a polymeric shell with a plurality of cavities for receiving one or more teeth. The polymeric shell includes at least 3 alternating polymeric layers AB, wherein layer A includes a thermoplastic polymer A, layer B includes a thermoplastic polymer B, and the thermoplastic polymer B is different from the thermoplastic polymer A. Each of the thermoplastic polymers A and B have a flexural modulus of about 1.0 GPa to about 4.0 GPa; and each of the thermoplastic polymers A and B have a glass transition temperature (T.sub.g) greater than about 40° C.
STENT DEVICE FOR SPINAL FUSION
A bone implant for at least partial insertion into a bone and/or cartilage. The bone implant is at least partially formed of a metal alloy of at least about 90 wt. % of a solid solution or a rhenium and molybdenum alloy.
ENDODONTIC INSTRUMENT
An endodontic instrument for anatomically shaping a root canal of a human tooth, having a base portion, which can be mounted on a holding device and can be rotated around a reference axis A. The endodontic instrument has a working part with an abrasive surface, at least a part of which extends from the base member and has an axis which is arranged angular with respect to a reference axis. The central axis of the base portion and the central axis of working portion enclose an angle a greater than zero, and/or wherein the central axis of the working portion is offset in parallel to the reference axis of the base member by a distance r. The working part is made of a flexible material having a yield strength of less than 200 MPa.
GLAZING COMPOSITION FOR A DENTAL ZIRCONIA ARTICLE, PROCESS OF SINTERING AND KIT OF PARTS
The invention relates to a glazing composition suitable for glazing the surface a dental zirconia article. The glazing composition comprises a liquid, glass particles, and hydrophilic silica nano-particles. The invention also relates to a process for sintering a porous dental zirconia article with a glazing composition on its surface.
METHODS AND COMPOSITION OF A DENTAL MODEL FOR THE MANUFACTURE OF ORTHODONTIC APPLIANCES WITHOUT THE USE OF SEPARATOR
Disclosed herein are methods of farming orthodontic appliances without the use of a separating later between the orthodontic appliance and a dental model. Also disclosed herein are dental models having non-adhesive surfaces useful in the formation of orthodontic appliances, as well as curable compositions, kits and cured polymer products useful in the formation of the dental models.
3D-PRINTED ORTHODONTIC SPLINT MADE OF CROSSLINKED POLYMERS
The present invention relates to an orthodontic splint made of a crosslinked polymer, wherein the crosslinked polymer has a glass transition temperature T.sub.g, determined by means of dynamic-mechanical analysis at a frequency of 1/s DMA as peak tan δ, of ≥25° C. and ≤60° C., a modulus of elasticity, determined by means of dynamic-mechanical analysis as the storage modulus E′ at a frequency of 1/s at 35° C., of ≥500 MPa and ≤4000 MPa, and a loss factor tan δ, determined by means of dynamic-mechanical analysis at a frequency of 1/s at 35° C., of ≥0.08. The invention further relates to a process for producing such splints.
DENTAL TREATMENT DEVICES COMPRISING SILICONE-LIKE ELASTOMERIC MATERIAL
Non-customized dental treatment trays used to provide a desired treatment are formed from elastomeric silicone or silicone-like material. They may be molded from a silicone composition or a non-silicone thermoplastic elastomer (TPE), such as SEBS and/or VERSAflex. The silicone composition can be a thermoset material formed by curing a two-part composition. The dental treatment trays possess high adaptability, flexibility, softness, and elastic elongation while also exhibiting resiliency in order to readily conform to the ridges, depressions and contours of a person's teeth during use. The trays possess a greater ability to adhere to a person's teeth compared to non-elastomeric thermoplastic materials. Due to their high adaptability and conformability, the non-customized dental trays behave like a semi-custom dental tray when placed over conformed to a person's teeth, particularly when used in combination with a sticky, viscous treatment composition.
DEVICE FOR STORING ORTHODONTIC PLIERS
A device to store at least one set of orthodontic pliers. The device includes a case consisting of a material which is impenetrable to light and at least one storage housing. The storage housing includes a flap mounted to move rotatably between a closing position and an opening position. In the closing position, the flap creates an insertion opening and in the opening position, the flap is at a distance from the storage housing and provides access thereto. A holder comprises a narrowing formed in the storage housing or in the region of the insertion opening, by the cooperation of the inner surface of the storage housing and the flap in the closing position.
AN ASSEMBLY FOR THE ORTHODONTIC TREATMENT OF A PATIENT'S TEETH AND AN ORTHODONTIC SYSTEM FOR SUCH A TREATMENT, A METHOD FOR THE PLACEMENT OF AN ASSEMBLY FOR THE ORTHODONTIC TREATMENT OF A PATIENT'S TEETH AND A METHOD FOR MANUFACTURING SUCH AN ASSEMBLY, AND A USE OF SUCH AN ORTHODONTIC SYSTEM
Assembly for the orthodontic treatment of a patient's teeth, method for the placement of an assembly for the orthodontic treatment of a patient's teeth and use of the orthodontic system, the assembly including a pearl and a cap, the pearl being provided with a slot into which an orthodontic wire can be inserted, the cap being shaped individually to the shape of the tooth, wherein the cap is connected to the pearl.
