Medical robotic work station
A medical robotic work station includes a frame and a robotic manipulator mounted on the frame for performing a treatment procedure on a patient seated in a chair adjacent the frame. The patient is in a seating posture and support locations are provided on the frame for resting bony members of the patient. Sensors track movement and position of the body members of the patient during performance of the treatment procedure by the robotic manipulator. The robotic manipulator is adapted to perform at least one of a medical, a dental, an ophthalmic and an orthopedic treatment procedure. A physician sits at a display monitor of a physician's work station for programming, monitoring and verifying a robot program for controlling the robotic manipulator to perform the treatment procedure.
BIO SHIELD FOR DENTAL CHAIR
A shield device and related methods of use for conducting a patient procedure, such as a dental procedure, when the patient is positioned in or on a chair or table. The shield device includes a support arm and a shield. The shield is mounted to the support arm and movable between an active position vertically above a portion of the patient when the patient is lying in the chair or table, and an inactive position removed from patient. The shield has a transparent portion through which a user can view the patient when the shield is in the active position. The shield includes a ventilation system to remove air from a space defined between the patient and the shield when the shield is in the active position.
Devices, systems and methods for inhibiting or disrupting pediatric anxiety
Children who experience anxiety associated with novel situations react physically and emotionally in ways that make it challenging for the child, parents, educators, and providers to proceed with the intended goal of that novel situation. Anxiety in children can be reduced by introducing fun or distracting stimuli that act on specific neural pathways. The stimuli introduced can familiarize a child with the environment in which the procedure will take place and the equipment and people which the child will meet. In the healthcare setting, by using consistent stimuli, and by disrupting anxiety at one or more of a series of stages in which anxiety typically occurs, a reduction in needed anesthesia can be achieved, which is healthier for the child and reduces the costs associated with the medical or dental procedure.
System for operating modes for an electric toothbrush
Various operational mode arrangements of an electric toothbrush (10) include pre-programming a controller portion (16) of the electric toothbrush such that a single brushing event of approximately two minutes comprises automatically at least two different operating modes and specified times for each mode. Another operational mode includes the capability of operating the on/off button (20) of the toothbrush within a specified short time following termination of a normal brushing event to provide the user a specified additional time, e.g. 30 seconds of toothbrush action. A special toothbrush interface arrangement includes a display (80) which encourages children to maintain brushing for the full brushing period. This is accomplished through sequential illustration of the progress of an article from an initial state to a final desired state as the toothbrush is used for increasing portions of a full brushing time period. In another embodiment, a toothbrush (120) includes a capability of adjusting the performance/operating characteristics in accordance with the age of a child user.
A Dental Display System
A dental display system comprising: an articulatable dental arm (78) and a portable-electronic-device-support assembly (75) the articulatable dental arm (78) extending through an articulatable-dental-arm receiving aperture (86) of the portable-electronic-device-support assembly (76). An arm attached to a support attachment means (106) of the portable-electronic-device-support assembly (76) and a portable-electronic-device holder (10) and the portable-electronic-device holder (10) is attached to the arm. A portable electronic device (20) is engaged between the first and second device engagement elements (14, 16) of the portable-electronic-device holder (10).
Photo realistic rendering of smile image after treatment
A method may include: receiving facial image of the patient that depicts the patient's teeth; receiving a 3D model of the patient's teeth; determining color palette of the depiction of the patient's teeth; coding 3D model of the patient's teeth based on attributes of the 3D model; providing the 3D model, the color palette, and the coded 3D model to a neural network; processing the 3D model, the color palette, and the coded 3D model by the neural network to generate a processed image of the patient's teeth; simulating specular highlights on the processed image of the patient's teeth; and inserting the processed image of the patient's teeth into a mouth opening of the facial image.
SILENT HANDPIECE WITH LIGHTS
A noiseless handpiece providing indicator lights. The head portion of the handpiece has one or more internal silencers for baffling the noise that is a byproduct of the generation of the rotational force used to drive the drill component. The indicator lights communicate one or more operational states to the user and reflect the engagement of an electrically connected transducer.
Persistent progress over a connected device network and interactive and continuous storytelling via data input from connected devices
Systems, methods and articles of manufacture for affect a virtual world based n available electronic devices. A control node identifies electronic devices present within a physical environment. Embodiments detect a device type of a first electronic device and determine an API implemented by the first electronic device, based on the detected device type of the first electronic device. Electronic messages are transmitted to the first electronic device, via the one or more data communications networks. The electronic messages are formatted according to the determined API. One or more actions are determined for a first user for a first computer game, based on data received from the first electronic device via the one or more data communications networks, and a game state for the first computer game is updated, based on performance of the one or more actions.
INTRA-ORAL LIGHT-THERAPY APPARATUSES AND METHODS FOR THEIR USE
In some embodiments, an apparatus comprises a housing, an emitter, and an electronic circuit. The housing is configured to fit within a patient's mouth. The emitter is at least partially encased within the housing. The emitter is configured to emit an effective amount of light to the alveolar soft tissue when the housing is disposed within the mouth. The electronic circuit is operatively coupled to the emitter. The electronic circuit is configured to control the emitter when the housing is disposed within the mouth and the apparatus is in use during orthodontic treatment. The apparatus and its use for regulating tooth movement or maintaining or improving oral tissue health are disclosed herein.
Dental Audio Drill
The present invention is an improved dental drill and system of assisting patients with anxiety due to dental visits. The Audio Drill system collects data such as music and time for the purposes of receiving audio data packets from a mobile device. Mobile devices such as smart phones, tablets, Internet computers, and other hand-held mobile devices are ideal for submitting music to the proposed invention. The affiliations are determined based upon the audio date and other critical markers. The system may even be enhanced by use of features tailored by the user.
