DENTAL PAIN AND DISCOMFORT NOTIFICATION SYSTEM
A dental pain and discomfort notification system for providing immediate feedback from a patient to a dentist, dental hygienist, or oral surgeon. The dental pain and discomfort notification system includes a notification panel mounted in proximity to a dental chair and an activation device. The activation device may be a hand-held device, such as a wireless remote, or may be mounted near the dental chair. The activation device includes one or more switches for activation by the patient. Each switch corresponds to a condition being experienced by the patient, such as pain, discomfort, or the need for suction. During a dental procedure, the switches may be activated by the patient to request a corresponding action by the dentist.
System and method for actuating controlled stimulation of a patient in a confined medical position
A system and method for actuating controlled stimulation of a patient in a confined medical position helps sooth and entertain a patient receiving medical treatment while resting on a support member, like a dental chair. The system provides a support member, and integrates at least one air actuated animated member, such as a mobile or figurine, proximal to the support member, to enable animated motion by the animated member through pressurized air. Pressurized air causes the animated members to articulate in animated, colorful movements. Audio signals are also generated by the animated member in response to the pressurized air. The animated member can be a mobile or a cartoon character with joints, axes, and limbs that move when engaged by pressurized air. The patient or caregiver control distribution of the pressurized air by manipulating a foot valve and an arm valve to control the animated members.
INTRA-ORAL LIGHT-THERAPY APPARATUSES AND METHODS FOR THEIR USE
In some embodiments, an apparatus comprises a housing, an emitter, and an electronic circuit. The housing is configured to fit within a patient's mouth. The emitter is at least partially encased within the housing. The emitter is configured to emit an effective amount of light to the alveolar soft tissue when the housing is disposed within the mouth. The electronic circuit is operatively coupled to the emitter. The electronic circuit is configured to control the emitter when the housing is disposed within the mouth and the apparatus is in use during orthodontic treatment. The apparatus and its use for regulating tooth movement or maintaining or improving oral tissue health are disclosed herein.
PHOTO REALISTIC RENDERING OF SMILE IMAGE AFTER TREATMENT
A system comprises a memory and one or more processors operatively connected to the memory. The one or more processors receive a facial image comprising a two-dimensional (2D) depiction of a person's teeth at a first arrangement and receive a tooth model comprising a three-dimensional (3D) depiction of the person's teeth at a second arrangement. The one or more processors obtain color information from the facial image, wherein the color information represents a color scheme of the person's teeth at the first arrangement. The one or more processors generate a photo-realistic 2D depiction of the person's teeth at the second arrangement using the 3D depiction of the person's teeth at the second arrangement and the color information obtained from the facial image. The one or more processors send the photo-realistic 2D depiction of the person's teeth at the second arrangement for display on a display device.
DENTAL COVERING REMOVAL TOOL
A device for removing a dental covering having: (a) an engagement portion, having a first plate portion which is substantially flat, that is configured to contact a portion of the dental covering along only one of a facial side or a lingual side of the dental covering; (b) a load applying portion, connected to the engagement portion and having a second plate portion which is substantially flat, which is adapted to rest upon an adjacent surface relative to the dental covering; and (c) an intermediate portion which is integral with and adjacent to both the engagement portion and the load applying portion; and wherein the first plate portion is parallel to the second plate portion. The device may be a dental covering removal tool which may find particular use in removing dental coverings, such as temporary and permanent crowns.
Ornament for Attachment to Orthodontic Braces
An ornament for attachment to orthodontic braces, the orthodontic braces having an arch wire overlying a laterally adjacent pair of teeth, the ornament having a web having a front end and a rear end; the ornament further having a first arm fixedly attached to and extending downwardly from the web's front end; the ornament further having a second arm fixedly attached to and extending downwardly from the web's rear end; the ornament further having a channel bounded by structures including the web, the first arm, and the second arm, the channel being fitted for, upon a passage of the arch wire between the first and second arms, nestingly receiving the arch wire.
Dental covering removal tool
A device for removing a dental covering having: (a) an engagement portion that is configured to contact a portion of the dental covering along only one of a facial side or a lingual side of the dental covering and receive a prying load applied by an operator; and (b) a load applying portion connected to the engagement portion which is adapted to rest upon an adjacent surface relative to the dental covering and be pivoted upwardly or downwardly by application of the prying load. The device may be a dental covering removal tool which may find particular use in removing dental coverings, such as temporary and permanent crowns.
Symmetrically mirrored video segment
A method for dividing one 7201080, 10801920, 2K, 4K, 8K or a 12K video segment into two equal segments using a mathematical aspect ratio calculation which by combining two equal 7201080, 10801920, 2K, 4K, 8K or 12K video segments to create one symmetrically mirrored 7201080, 10801920, 2K, 4K, 8K or a 12K video segment to make one three second to thirty minute video to be up loaded and played within video glasses, 3D software and 3D video glasses, 3D parallax software, micro SD memory cards, HD televsions, 3D televisions, virtual reality software and hardware, mobile media applications, computers and all video streaming internet applications including widescreen cinema standard and IMAX theatrical projections.
System for operating modes for an electric toothbrush
Various operational mode arrangements of an electric toothbrush (10) include pre-programming a controller portion (16) of the electric toothbrush such that a single brushing event of approximately two minutes comprises automatically at least two different operating modes and specified times for each mode. Another operational mode includes the capability of operating the on/off button (20) of the toothbrush within a specified short time following termination of a normal brushing event to provide the user a specified additional time, e.g. 30 seconds of toothbrush action. A special toothbrush interface arrangement includes a display (80) which encourages children to maintain brushing for the full brushing period. This is accomplished through sequential illustration of the progress of an article from an initial state to a final desired state as the toothbrush is used for increasing portions of a full brushing time period. In another embodiment, a toothbrush (120) includes a capability of adjusting the performance/operating characteristics in accordance with the age of a child user.
Interdental Cleaning Device
An interdental cleaning device provided with a floss for removing food debris from between the teeth and comprising a case for housing the floss, and a suction cup attached to the case. Accordingly, because the suction cup is provided attached to the case, a user can position the floss on a wall surface position that facilitates easy use of the floss even in an ordinary shower that does not assume the use of the floss therein. In addition, a user can pull out (extract) and utilize only a desired length of the floss from the case with the case in a state of being attached to a wall surface by the suction cup. Hence, a user can pull out (withdraw) and cut the floss with a single hand.
