A windrow merger has a frame supporting first, second and third pickup assemblies, with the two outside pickup assemblies foldable between an extended use position and a retracted travel position. Each of the pickup assemblies includes a reversible conveyor providing multiple windrow merging configurations. The pickup assemblies are interchangeable and aligned to define an unobstructed pickup face.
Implement for moving plant material in a field
An implement for moving plant material lying in a field including a frame, a plurality of rake wheels rotatably mounted on the frame, and a plurality of support wheels to support the frame in an elevated condition. The implement may have a plurality of configurations, and may include a merge configuration configured to merge windrows of plant material on the field surface by lateral displacement of the plant material on the field surface. The plurality of configurations may include a turn configuration configured to turn the plant material on the field surface with a degree of lateral movement of the plant material on the field surface. The plurality of configurations may include a fluff configuration configured to lift plant material off of the field surface without lateral displacement of the plant material on the field surface.
Drawn agricultural machine
A drawn agricultural machine comprising a carrier frame for carrying processing members, the carrier frame supportable on the ground, at least during transport, by means of a wheel set comprising at least a wheel, a coupling frame for coupling the agricultural machine 1 to the three-point suspension of a tractor, the coupling frame comprising two lower coupling points and an upper coupling point and the coupling frame being rotatable about a vertical axis of rotation relative to the carrier frame. The machine also comprises a drawing element for exerting a force on the coupling frame, wherein the coupling frame, the carrier frame and the drawing element are interconnected in such a manner that a downward force component is exerted on the lower coupling points when the drawing element exerts a force on the coupling frame.
HAYMAKING MACHINE
A haymaking machine includes a frame, a turning or raking rotor and a sensor arranged on the frame, and a control device. In a working position, the turning or raking rotor is drivable relative to the frame about an axis of rotation in a direction of rotation. The turning or raking rotor has tine arms which have tines. The tine arms are aligned at least temporarily to face the ground. The tine arms are arranged uniformly distributed in a circumferential direction around the axis of rotation and are aligned in an approximately radial direction with respect to the axis of rotation. The sensor continuously detects a passing of the tine arms during an operation of the turning or raking rotor and transmits a measurement signal thereof. The control device receives the measurement signal and infers an operating state of the at least one turning or raking rotor based thereon.
METHOD AND APPARATUS FOR MOUNTING RAKES AND OTHER AGRICULTURAL IMPLEMENTS
A mounting assembly for operationally attaching an agricultural implement (including, without limitation, a rake assembly) to the front of a tractor or other motorized vehicle. The mounting assembly permits responsive turning of an attached agricultural implement. A suspension assembly allows use over uneven terrain and maintains desired contact with such terrain. Among other benefits, the mounting assembly permits the use of a first agricultural implement in front of a tractor or other motorized vehicle, while a second agricultural implement can be pulled or towed behind the tractor or vehicle; thus, multiple operations can be combined, thereby greatly improving efficiency, cost effectiveness and environmental impact of such operations.
Frame Suspension for Rotary Rakes and Tedders
A suspension mechanism for a rotary rake implement incorporates elastomeric shock absorbing members in the corners of a tubular member situated in between the corners of a square rod formed as part of the wheel assembly and received within the tubular member such that the corners of the square rod assert a pre-load spring force on the tubular member when the implement is in an extended operating configuration. The movement of the implement into a folded transport configuration with the weight of the implement supported on the transport wheel assemblies causes a deflection of the square rod that compresses the elastomeric shock absorbing members within the corners of the tubular member to provide maximum suspension for the implement when in transport, while providing minimum suspension when the implement is in operation. An end cap on the square rod engages a stop formed on the tubular member to control rotation.
METHOD FOR FIELD WORKING
A method for field processing includes mowing, via a mowing machine having at least one mower, a crop within a processing area so as to provide a mown crop. At least one mowing parameter is determined for each position of a plurality of positions within the processing area. The at least one mowing parameter has a mower parameter which relates to the at least one mower and which is associated with an area density of the crop. The mown crop is processed via a cropmaking machine which has at least one processing device. At least one cropmaking parameter which characterizes an operation of the cropmaking machine is set as a function of a position of the cropmaking machine. The at least one mowing parameter is determined for the position
Agricultural raking system and method for automatic settings
A system includes an agricultural raking vehicle, including a motor drive and raking members mechanically coupled to the motor drive. The raking members rake agricultural product via rotation about an axis substantially orthogonal to a field on which the agricultural vehicle travels. The system also includes a sensor assembly that outputs a signal indicative of a determined windrow quality of the agricultural product raked by the raking members. The system also includes a controller communicatively coupled to the motor drive and to the sensor assembly. The controller receives the signal and controls an angular speed of the motor drive, a ground speed of the agricultural vehicle, and/or a height of the raking members or tines above the field, based on a comparison of the determined windrow quality to a target windrow quality.
Simplified haymaking machine with a carrier
The present invention relates to an agricultural haymaking machine comprising a chassis resting on the ground by at least one wheel and intended to be coupled to a tractor able to move the machine in a direction of advance, a carrier carrying a plurality of rotors being swivel mounted to the chassis around a central pin oriented transversally to the direction of advance, each rotor being driven around a respective drive axis, and a lift actuator, articulated to the chassis on one hand and to the carrier on another hand, being able to make the carrier pivot around the central pin relative to the chassis, the machine being able to adopt a headland configuration in which the carrier is raised, as well as a work configuration in which the carrier rests on the ground by means of at least one support. The central pin is rigidly attached to the carrier, and the machine comprises a positioning actuator able to move the central pin relative to the chassis to change the position of the drive axes relative to the ground.
Swath lifter
A swath lifter includes a rotor over which the crop is carried with the rotor driven in a direction so that an underside of the rotor adjacent the ground is driven opposite to the direction of movement. The rotor carries rows of tines at angularly spaced positions around the rotor each associated with a flexible strip of a resilient material located in front of the tines and covering an inner part of the tines with the outer part exposed. The rotor can be arranged with its axis inclined to a line at right angles to the forward direction thus tending to carry the crop to one side to direct the cop onto an adjustable swath guide board to cooperate to form the swath into a desired condition. The rotor can be used as a front member in a pickup for example for a baler.
