Device and method for perforating a dense bone layer
A device and method for perforating a dense bone layer. The device includes a vibration generator for generating mechanical vibration, in particular ultrasonic vibration, and an instrument with an elongated shaft and a distal end piece including a perforator. The distal end piece is arranged at a distal end of the shaft and the proximal end of the shaft is connected or connectable to the vibration generator. The perforator has the form of a solid or a hollow cylinder. The vibration generator, the shaft and the distal end piece are adapted to each other for the shaft to transmit, when connected to the activated vibration generator, mechanical vibration from the vibration generator to the distal end piece and for vibrating the perforator in a direction parallel to its cylinder axis.

VETERINARY SAW ASSEMBLY
A veterinary saw assembly having a tool coupler for coupling to an external power tool and a drive coupler for driving a cutting string from the power tool. The cutting string can be an abrasive wire. The power tool can be a drill. The saw assembly can be used for dehorning or foetotomy procedures. Also disclosed are saws that include the saw assembly, cutting strings for use with the saw assembly, methods of stringing the saw assembly with a cutting string, and a kit including the cutting string and instructions for its use.
Device and method for the application of a curable fluid composition to a bodily organ
The invention relates to a device suitable for application of a curable fluid composition to encircle a bodily organ. The device comprises a monolithic piece of a flexible material having a length dimension with an inner surface and an outer surface, a first end and a second end, a width dimension, and two spaced-apart sides, wherein a portion of the length dimension proximal to the first end is configured to contact a portion of the length dimension proximal to the second end, the inner surface defining a hollow area between the two spaced-apart sides; and at least one inlet providing fluid communication between the outer surface and the inner surface, for introduction of the fluid into the hollow area. The device deployable around the bodily organ such that when the portion of the length dimension proximal to the first end contacts the portion of the length dimension proximal to the second end, an outer surface of the bodily organ and the hollowed area define an enclosed volume encircling the bodily organ, the enclosed volume suitable for containing the fluid therein.
BONE FIXATION PLATE
A fixation plate comprising a head section for fixation to a first bone segment; a leg section extending from said head section for fixation to a second bone segment; wherein at least one of said head section and said leg section comprises at least one aperture configured to receive a screw for said fixation, and wherein said aperture is configured to receive said screw such that said screw can be inserted at varying angles.

Microfluidic intravital window
A microfluidic intravital window includes an intravital imaging window adapted for implantation adjacent target tissue of a live animal, and a microfluidic fluid source and delivery system physically integrated into the window for controlled delivery of fluids to target tissue via the window. The microfluidic fluid source and delivery system is self-contained and completely located within the intravital imaging window, and includes at least one preloaded fluid reservoir, at least one fluid port in fluidic communication with both the at least one preloaded fluid reservoir and the target tissue, and at least one light activated fluid flow control device situated between the at least one preloaded fluid reservoir and at least one fluid port, to facilitate simultaneous in vivo viewing and remotely controlled fluid delivery to the target tissue.

Closure system and methods of use
A closure system and methods of use are provided for use in sealing an opening in a body tissue, such as a vascular puncture site. A method of closing the opening in the body tissue can be performed with the closure system having a closure clip. The method can include positioning the closure clip in a first closure clip position adjacent to the opening in the body tissue such that a plurality of spikes of the closure clip are inserted into the tissue at a location outward from a central axis of the opening. Subsequently, the closure clip can be positioned in a second closure clip position such that the plurality of spikes are pulled inward toward the central axis of the opening so as to pull the tissue between the opening and each of the spikes together and close the opening.
