Battery Protection Circuit and Method
A battery, method and battery operated portable communication device are provided with protection from excessive current and thermal conditions. A plurality of protection circuits are coupled in series within a common charge/discharge path of the battery. The first protection circuit is configured to block current by opening a switch in response to a voltage drop across the switch and a current sense resistor in the common charge/discharge path. The second protection circuit provides redundancy under conditions where the first switch might fail, where the second switch will block current through the current sense resistor.
CABINET WITH ANTI-CONDENSATION MECHANISM AND ANTI-CONDENSATION CONTROL METHOD
A cabinet with anti-condensation mechanism is used to control opening and closing a cabinet door of the cabinet. The cabinet includes a control module, a temperature control module, and a locking module. The control module senses a cabinet-inside temperature inside the cabinet, and senses cabinet-outside temperature and a cabinet-outside humidity outside the cabinet to generate a dew-point threshold value. The temperature control module is used to adjust the cabinet-inside temperature. The locking module is used to lock the cabinet door or unlock the cabinet door. The control module controls the locking module according to the cabinet-inside temperature and the dew-point threshold value, and controls the temperature control module to adjust the cabinet-inside temperature to be greater than or equal to the dew-point threshold value when the control module receives a trigger signal.
Power storage system for an electric drive vehicle
A power storage system for an electric drive vehicle; the power storage system comprises: at least one battery pack, which is provided with a plurality of electrochemical cells, which are electrically connected to one another; a container, which is provided, on the inside, with a chamber housing the battery pack; at least one first connector, which is mounted on the container; and a covering casing, which is designed to thermally insulate and protect the casing from fire. The covering casing is made of a fireproof fabric, which is also thermally insulating and is in direct contact with an outer surface of the container.
BATTERY, MANUFACTURING METHOD AND MANUFACTURING APPARATUS THEREOF, AND POWER CONSUMPTION DEVICE
Embodiments of the present disclosure provide a battery, a manufacturing method and a manufacturing apparatus thereof, and a power consumption device. The battery includes: at least one battery layer, wherein each battery layer includes a plurality of battery cells disposed side by side in a first direction, and each battery cell in the plurality of battery cells includes a case and an end cover which are connected to each other; and at least one limiting member disposed corresponding to the at least one battery layer and covering the case, so as to limit the corresponding battery layer to move in a third direction, wherein the third direction is perpendicular to the at least one battery layer, the at least one limiting member includes a first limiting member, the first limiting member is provided with a weakened region, and the weakened region is configured to enable the battery cell to release pressure through a region of the case corresponding to the weakened region when an internal pressure of the battery cell reaches a first threshold.
Apparatus for detecting a critical fall
An apparatus contains an inertial body held by three electrical conductors along the three principal inertial axes, wherein a voltage is applied to each of the three electrical conductors and are configured such that when a predetermined acceleration threshold value for the inertial body is reached the conductivity of at least one electrical conductor is impaired such that the reaching of a predetermined threshold value is detectable by the voltage measuring device. A rechargeable battery having an apparatus for detecting a critical fall and a method involving detecting three voltages are also provided.
BATTERY PACK COMPRISING EXTINGUISHMENT UNIT
A battery pack includes at least one battery module arranged in one direction and having a cell assembly including a plurality of secondary batteries arranged in one direction; and a fire extinguishing unit having a fire extinguishing tank configured to contain a fire extinguishing agent therein, a pipe connected to the fire extinguishing tank to supply the fire extinguishing agent from the tire extinguishing tank to the at least one battery module, and a fire extinguishing valve configured so that, when an internal gas of the battery module is heated over a predetermined temperature, an inner configuration of the fire extinguishing valve is partially deformed by the heated internal gas to open an output hole thereof so as to supply the fire extinguishing agent from the fire extinguishing tank into the battery module.
Electric cell potting compound and method of making
A battery module comprising an electric cell and a potting compound associated with the electric cell. The potting compound is formed of a flame retardant component; a first component having an isocyanate reactive compound and water; and a second component having an isocyanate compound. The potting compound is a foam.
