Programmable beamforming system including element-level analog channelizer
A beamforming system includes a plurality of channelizers and a channel switching module in signal communication with the channelizers. Each channelizer is configured to receive a respective input radio frequency signal and to generate a plurality of respective channels in response to downsampling the respective input radio frequency signal. The channel switching module includes a channel combining circuit configured to selectively combine a common channel generated by each channelizer to form at least one steered analog beam.
Dual-beam sector antenna and array
A low sidelobe beam forming method and dual-beam antenna schematic are disclosed, which may preferably be used for 3-sector and 6-sector cellular communication system. Complete antenna combines 2-, 3- or -4 columns dual-beam sub-arrays (modules) with improved beam-forming network (BFN). The modules may be used as part of an array, or as an independent 2-beam antenna. By integrating different types of modules to form a complete array, the present invention provides an improved dual-beam antenna with improved azimuth sidelobe suppression in a wide frequency band of operation, with improved coverage of a desired cellular sector and with less interference being created with other cells. Advantageously, a better cell efficiency is realized with up to 95% of the radiated power being directed in a desired cellular sector.
RADIO DIRECTION FINDING METHOD AND SYSTEM
Embodiments of the disclosure are drawn to apparatuses, systems, and methods for radio direction finding with an iterative ambiguity resolution algorithm. An antenna array may receive an emitted signal. Two or more phase shifts in the received emitted signal may be determined between two or more pairs of antennas of the antenna array. A set of possible expected phase shifts may be generated from at least two of the measured phase shift. To determine the proper one of the set of expected phase shifts, a set of initial guesses for parameters of a fitting equation may be generated and then each may be optimized to determine optimized fitting parameters. From these optimized fitting parameters a direction of arrival of the emitted signal may be determined.

SYSTEM AND METHOD FOR WIRELESS POWER NETWORKING
A system for wireless power networking, preferably including one or more nodes, such as transmit nodes, receive nodes, relay nodes, and/or hybrid nodes. The system may function to form a power network (e.g., mesh network) configured to transfer power wirelessly between nodes of the system. A method for wireless power networking, preferably including transmitting power, controlling relay nodes, and/or receiving power, and optionally including optimizing power network operation. The method is preferably performed at (e.g., by one or more nodes of) the system, but can additionally or alternatively be performed by any other suitable system(s).
Base station antennas having field-enabled remote electronic tilt capabilities
A method of configuring an antenna that includes a plurality of RET units that are associated with respective ones of a plurality of arrays of radiating elements is provided in which, for each array in a subset that includes at least one of the arrays, setting an output of the RET unit associated with the array to a position that corresponds to a pre-selected electronic downtilt for the array. A first RET unit configuration file is loaded into a memory of the antenna, where the first RET unit configuration file does not include configuration data for the RET units associated with the arrays that are included in the subset. A second RET unit configuration file is provided that includes configuration data for all of the RET units.
