Dart and dart retainer
The invention relates to a dart (10) comprising a body, the body defining a chamber (24) having a plunger located therein to operatively deliver a substance through a hypodermic needle (32) extending through a front end of the body, and a retainer comprising a barb body locatable on the hypodermic needle (32) characterised in that the barb body is threaded. The invention further relates to a dart retainer, wherein the retainer comprises of a threaded barb body locatable on a hypodermic needle (32) of a dart (10).
Device and method for recording biopotentials in laboratory animals
A head stage designed for non-surgical placement of EEG electrodes in small animals is disclosed. The head stage is connected to thin barbed pin electrodes of multiple lengths, such that they can be placed into the brain at the chosen depth. A miniature device comprising a wireless transmitter or data logger can be attached using magnets or connectors to the stage. When the head stage is placed on the head of a small animal and pressure is applied on the stage, the set of pin electrodes penetrate the skull, such that the stage becomes firmly fixed to the skull. Further, the device includes electrodes on its body that eliminate the need of wires for EEG recordings. When the capsule including sharp electrodes is pressed toward the skull, the electrodes penetrate the bone and fixes the capsule onto the skull for recording biopotential signals from the brain.

Apparatus and method for delivering feed supplement
The invention is a dispensing module for use in delivering measured doses of feed supplement to an animal. It comprises a storage container for holding the supplement and a metering module that is rotatably connected to the storage container for dispensing a measured (pre-determined) dose of the supplement. The dispensing module is adapted to be moved between an open configuration and a closed configuration. In the open configuration, the measured dose of the supplement is able to be dispensed out of the dispensing module. In the closed configuration, the measured dose of the supplement is prevented from being dispensed out of the dispensing module. Compressed air can be used to send the dose to an outlet when the dispensing module is closed.
Distribution system for flow control of infusate from branch catheters to selected site
System and method to improve drug delivery to identified regions in the brain or elsewhere through direct infusion of a therapeutic agent or the like into that region. This direct infusion will allow for greater concentrations of the agent in the target region while reducing concentrations elsewhere in the body where these agents may be toxic. The system and method improves efficacy while reducing unwanted side effects. The system includes an array of multiple, independently targeted, microporous catheters for insertion into the target region and a distribution system that allows for individualized flow control to each catheter. The system may be connected to a reservoir that contains the therapeutic agent, and flow to the system is maintained through one or more pumps. This system will greatly improve on the current single catheter infusion design and shall provide therapy, delivered through multiple catheters, thus delivering the therapy evenly over a customizable volume.
INJECTION APPARATUS AND METHOD FOR USE
Disclosed devices for injection of medicament to a subject can include a hand-held unit, at least one control unit, and one or more medicament chambers fluidly coupled to the control unit. The hand-held unit having a head portion and a body portion, the head portion comprising at least one needle and a movable head, the movable head being axially movable relative to the body portion between an extended position and a retracted position. The control unit being fluidly coupled to the hand-held unit and having a pump having a dosing chamber.

Intraocular gas injector
A gas mixture apparatus includes a measurement control system, an activation system, a pressurized chamber with one or more gases, and a mixing chamber. A filter can be preattached to the outlet of the mixture apparatus, allowing excess gas to be discharged therethrough and then atmospheric air to be drawn into the mixture apparatus through the filter for creating a therapeutic gas mixture.
