In an aspect, a hand held apparatus for delivering a substance to an animal includes a removable delivery section including a delivery arrangement adapted to deliver the substance to the animal; and a drive section including a drive arrangement adapted to actuate the delivery arrangement in a coupled condition in which the removable delivery section is coupled to the drive section. The delivery section includes an electronic device adapted to communicate with a control system associated with at least the drive section in the coupled condition, the electronic device being configurable so to be readable by the control system such that the control system is able to identify and operate the removable delivery section.

The plurality of rooms includes an examination room configured to enable a medical professional to medically examine and perform medical diagnostic testing one or more animals, a chemotherapy treatment room configured to enable the medical professional to perform one or more oncological treatments on the one or more animals, and a changing room configured to enable the medical professional to don or doff personal protective equipment.

Systems for providing oncological services to animals are provided. The system includes a transportation vehicle configured to be driven under its own power. The transportation vehicle includes an outer frame housing a plurality of rooms. The plurality of rooms includes an examination room configured to enable a medical professional to medically examine and perform medical diagnostic testing one or more animals, a chemotherapy treatment room configured to enable the medical professional to perform one or more oncological treatments on the one or more animals, and a changing room configured to enable the medical professional to don or doff personal protective equipment.

A veterinary subject intranasal administration device includes a first support member portion including a septum interface portion sized for insertion into a nasal passage of the veterinary subject; an actuation mechanism connected to the first support member portion; and a fluid conduit having a distal end opposite a supported end, the distal end sized for insertion into the nasal passage of the veterinary subject, the fluid conduit being flexible and configured to receive fluid from a fluid source and discharge the fluid through the distal end into the nasal passage, the distal end of the fluid conduit being unsupported and movable relative to the septum interface portion.

The present invention provides an intra-ruminal device comprising a body substantially impervious to rumen fluid, the body comprising a barrel, at least one outlet, and at least one matrix in the barrel, a compression arrangement within the body adapted to bias the column of matrices in the barrel to the at least one outlet, and at least one variable geometry device dependent from the body to assist numen retention, wherein the at least one matrix in the barrel comprises at least one active ingredient and at least one polymer selected from the group consisting of a non-ionic polymer and a cross-linked anionic polymer. The invention also provides a method of making and using the device.

Devices, systems, and methods for delivering fluid are provided. Devices include a housing configured for intravaginal deployment and retention, at least one reservoir configured to contain a fluid, and a fluid dispensing mechanism configured to dispense the fluid past the cervix and to the uterus of the subject. Methods include intravaginally deploying and retaining a device in the subject, and dispensing the fluid from the device such that the fluid is driven past the cervix to the uterus of the subject.

Devices, systems, and methods for delivering fluid are provided. Devices include a housing configured for intravaginal deployment and retention, at least one reservoir configured to contain a fluid, and a fluid dispensing mechanism configured to dispense the fluid past the cervix and to the uterus of the subject. Methods include intravaginally deploying and retaining a device in the subject, and dispensing the fluid from the device such that the fluid is driven past the cervix to the uterus of the subject.
