A connection device for a luminaire includes a housing that is intended for installation in a mounting space in a wall of a premises, this device including a connection socket for a luminaire and a connection zone for connection to an electrical network. The housing forms an interior volume inside which members for supplying the luminaire with electrical power, members for connection between the connection socket for the luminaire and the connection zone for connection to the electrical network and a system for control and communication with a unit external to the connection device are incorporated.

Connector shroud configuration

An illustrative example embodiment of a connector includes a terminal configured to establish an electrically conductive connection with another component and a shroud surrounding the terminal. The shroud includes a first sidewall and a second sidewall that is transverse to the first sidewall. The first sidewall and the second sidewall have a sidewall dimension in a direction parallel to a longitudinal axis of the terminal. The shroud includes a first transition between the first sidewall and the second sidewall in the form of a hollow cylindrical sector having a first angular measurement of more than 90 degrees. The transition has a transition dimension that is less than the sidewall dimension.

Connector

A lock arm (31) has a lock (34) that rides on a lock projection (62) while connecting two housings (10, 60) and locks the lock projection (62) when the housings (10, 60) are connected. A connection detecting member (45) is movable in the male housing (10) and between an initial position and a detection position. The connection detecting member (45) has a resilient detecting portion (50) capable of contacting the lock (34). First and second restricting surfaces (36, 37) are formed on a facing surface (35) of the lock (34) facing the resilient detecting portion (50). The first restricting surface (36) restricts displacement of the resilient detecting portion (50) in a riding direction on the lock (62) with respect to the lock (34) and the second restricting surface (37) restricts displacement of the resilient detecting portion (50) in a direction opposite to the riding direction on the lock projection (62).

MSL connector series

Connector apparatus having a female connector assembly and a male connector assembly. The female connector assembly includes a female housing, a connector position assurance (CPA) member for assuring the engagement of the male connector assembly with the female connector assembly, and a first terminal position assurance (TPA) member for assuring that terminals for the female connector assembly are positioned properly. The female housing further includes a connector latch used to securely hold together a connector apparatus. The female housing has TPA protection ribs and CPA protection walls. The male housing has TPA protection ribs.

Connector used with high-current terminal

A connector (10) used with a high-current terminal (100) includes a main body (1) and a conductive spacer (2). The main body (1) has a connecting portion (11) disposed at one end thereof and a pluggable portion (12) disposed at the other end thereof. The high-current terminal (100) is plugged into the pluggable portion (12). The conductive spacer (2) is disposed between the pluggable portion (12) and the high-current terminal (100). The conductive spacer (2) has a plurality of outer projections (21) pressed against the pluggable portion (12) and a plurality of inner projections (22) pressed against the high-current terminal (100). Thus, the number of electrical contact points is increased by means of the outer projections (21) and the inner projections (22) disposed between the pluggable portion (12) and the high-current terminal (100) such that the connector (10) has excellent electric conductivity and current adjustment capability.
