Electrical cable splice
An electrical cable splice includes a housing having a channel configured to hold a first signal conductor of a first electrical cable therein. The channel is configured to hold a second signal conductor of a second electrical cable therein in electrical engagement with the first signal conductor such that the first and second signal conductors are electrically interconnected. The second electrical cable has a greater diameter than the first electrical cable. A ground shield external to the housing such that the ground shield extends at least partially around the first and second signal conductors. The ground shield is electrically connected to electrical ground conductors of the first and second electrical cables.
Electric wire with wire terminal, wire terminal and wire terminal crimper
An electric wire is terminated with a wire terminal. The electric wire includes a conductor composed of strands and a sheath. The wire terminal includes a wire barrel portion that composed of a bottom plate, a first side plate extending from one side edge of the bottom plate and a second side plate extending from another side edge of the bottom plate. The wire barrel portion holds the conductor exposed from the sheath to make an electrical connection with the strands. The number of the strands contacting directly with the first side plate gradually changes along a longitudinal direction of the conductor. The number of the strands contacting directly with the second side plate gradually changes along the longitudinal direction inversely with respect to the first side plate.
Service loop for top drive equipment having an embedded lay line
A top drive service loop cable assembly including a plurality of cabled internal cable components a jacket covering the internal cable components, and a flange connected to the jacket and supporting sat internal cable components. The jacket has an embedded lay line embossed into the cable, aligned with internal cable components.
Method for connecting an electrical device to a connection cable and electrical device with a connection cable
A method connects an electrical device (10), which has a tubular metal sheath (13) with protruding electrical conductors and contact sections (11, 12) connecting to contact sections (21, 22) of electrical conductors (23, 24) of a connection cable (20) by an insulating element (40, 140) that has receptacles (41, 42, 43, 44, 141, 142, 143, 144). The respective contact sections (11, 21, 12, 22) overlap one another or are adjacent to one another in the contact area (45, 48, 145, 148), and establish an electrical connection (51, 52) between the respective contact sections (11, 21, 12, 22). The electrical connection (51, 52) is established through an opening (46, 47, 49, 50, 146, 147, 149, 150), which forms an additional access to the contact area (45, 48, 145, 148). An electrical device (10) is provided with receptacles with the opening, which forms an additional access to the contact area.
Electric power transmission cables
Electric power transmission cables containing a first portion provided with first armouring wires having a first tensile strength, the first armouring wires being made of a first metallic material coated with a first metallic protection coating with a thickness more than 100 g/m.sup.2, the first metallic material having a first magnetic permeability 1, a second portion provided with second armouring wires having a second tensile strength, the second armouring wires being made of a second metallic material coated with a second metallic protection coating with a thickness more than 100 g/m.sup.2, the second metallic material having a second magnetic permeability 2, and 21, the first armouring wires being longitudinally joined to the second armouring wires at a joint, the joint having a third tensile strength that is at least more than 80% of the lower tensile strength of the first tensile strength and the second tensile strength.
Quick Connection System
A quick connection system and method of installing a wall-mounted or ceiling-mounted fixture to house current. The system comprises a light fixture or the like with a plate having a conductive track and a pair of conductive pins, a plate for a junction box having a conductive track with a plurality of openings such that when the conductive pins of the fixture are inserted into the junction plate openings, an electrical connection is made between the fixture and the junction box. A kit is provided having a light fixture or the like with a plate having a conductive track and conductive pins, a plate for a junction box having a conductive track have a plurality of openings to accommodate the conductive pins. The kit is useful for retrofitting the junction box or light fixture and the like. A method of using the system and the kit is disclosed.
Electrical crimp contact
A contact sleeve for connecting at least one stranded wire has a receiving region extending longitudinally to a central line. The central line runs parallel to the stranded wire for inserting stripped ends of the at least one stranded wire and has two crimp wings that are each directed towards each other. In the folded state, the two crimp wings clamp the stripped ends. The crimp wings have grooves that run on both crimp wings relative to the central line in the shape of an arrow. The grooves run outwards, in each case starting from the central line and being curved with a continuously decreasing gradient.
