Hybrid socket connector integrated with power supply and signal transmission functions

A hybrid socket connector is disclosed in this invention. The hybrid socket connector includes a receptacle housing having a signal receptacle part and a power receptacle part, a row of signal terminal assemblies mounted on the signal receptacle part, a row of power terminals mounted on the power receptacle part, and at least one tie bar mounted on the power receptacle part to retain these power terminals. Each signal port is generally Z-shaped. Each signal terminal has a first elastic arm and a second elastic arm located below the first elastic arm. The first and second elastic arms are staggered along a left-right direction. The hybrid socket connector of the invention can integrate the power supply with the signal transmission to ensure the safety of its structure and improve the electrical performance thereof.

Composite connector

A composite connector that contributes to an improvement of workability for mating connectors with each other while preventing or reducing an increase in manufacturing cost is provided. A composite connector includes a first module including a first housing in which a first connector is exposed, and a second housing rotatable about the first housing, the second housing including a second connector, and a second module including a third connector, and a third housing including a fourth connector, the third connector being configured to be mated with and connected to the first connector. The composite connector is configured so that the second and fourth connectors are mated with each other in a state in which one of a projection and a recess that is formed in the second housing is mated with the other of the projection and the recess that is formed in the third housing.

An electronic connector includes a base, and one or more tapered extensions protruding from the base. Each tapered extension includes a nose forming a terminal end of that tapered extension. Each tapered extension further includes first and second connection faces that form respective opposing sides of that tapered extension, and that taper toward each other from the base to the nose. Each tapered extension further includes first and second flank surfaces that form respective opposing sides of that tapered extension, and that taper toward each other from the base to the nose between the first and second connection faces. Each tapered extension further includes a first forward set of plural electrical contacts and a first rearward electrical contact located along the first connection face. Each tapered extension further includes a second forward set of plural electrical contacts and a second rearward electrical contact located along the second connection face.

A protective hood for outdoor electrical outlets or receptacles has an angled top surface, two side panels, and an angled bottom surface having an aperture. In one variant of the protective hood, the aperture in is configured to receive power cords for connection to an electrical outlet over which the protective hood has been mounted, such as an existing electrical outlet installed on a building wall or a power pedestal. In another variant of the protective hood, the aperture in the angled bottom surface is configured to allow an electrical outlet to be installed directly therein, but with the protective hood still being mountable over an electrical outlet on a building wall or power pedestal instead of having an electrical outlet installed in the aperture.

HIGH-SPEED DATA COMMUNICATIONS CONNECTOR

A communication plug configured to be mated with a communication outlet. The plug has first contacts configured to physically contact and form electrical connections with second contacts of the outlet. The plug also includes a substrate with wire contacts and first, second, third, and fourth layers. The first layer includes first conductors connecting a first portion of the first contacts with a first portion of the wire contacts. The fourth layer includes second conductors connecting a second portion of the first contacts with a second portion of the wire contacts. The second layer includes a first plurality of capacitor plates electrically connected to first selected ones of the first contacts. The third layer includes a second plurality of capacitor plates electrically connected to second selected ones of the first contacts. Each of the first plurality of capacitor plates forms a capacitor with at least one of the second plurality of capacitor plates.

Method for reducing crosstalk in electrical connectors

An apparatus and method for crosstalk compensation in a jack of a modular communications connector includes a flexible printed circuit board connected to jack contacts and to connections to a network cable. The flexible printed circuit board includes conductive traces arranged as one or more couplings to provide crosstalk compensation.

An electrosurgical system includes an electrosurgical generator having active and return terminals, an electrosurgical instrument including an active electrode, a return instrument including a return electrode, an active plug configured to connect to the active terminal of the generator, a return plug configured to connect to the return terminal of the generator, an active cable extending from the return plug to the electro surgical instrument, a return cable extending from the return plug to the return instrument, a connector cable extending from the active plug to the return plug, and a mechanical switch mechanism disposed within the return plug. The mechanical switch mechanism has a disengaged position in which the active plug is electrically disconnected from the active cable and an engaged position in which the active plug is in electrical communication with the active cable.

The card holding member is able to hold a card including terminal members and is able to be inserted into a card connector, and comprises a frame portion opposing the side surfaces of the card, and a movable lock portion arranged in the frame portion which is able to engage and disengage from a lock portion of the card connector, the movable lock portion being a spring member made of a metal plate and including at least one corner portion, and the movable lock portion also being elastically deformable in the width direction of the card holding member.

A connection system implantable within a living body having an exterior skin includes a male connector and a female connector. The male connector includes a shaft extending along an axis between a proximal end and a distal end, the shaft having an exterior surface surrounding the axis, at least one shaft contact carried on the shaft and exposed at the exterior surface, and a retaining element mounted to the shaft. The female connector includes a structure defining a bore extending along an axis between a proximal end and a distal end, at least one bore contact mounted to the structure and exposed within the bore and a catch element mounted to the structure. The catch and retaining elements allow the shaft to be inserted into the bore to align the contacts. A locking element rotatably locks the shaft in the bore. A method of implanting the system is also provided.
