Connector assembly and connector

A first housing of a first connector has a first end wall which is located downward of a first accommodation portion in an up-down direction. When viewed from beneath along the up-down direction, the first end wall hides, in part, a first contact located in the first accommodation portion. A second housing has a second end wall which is located upward of a second accommodation portion in the up-down direction. When viewed from above along the up-down direction, the second end wall hides a second contact located in the second accommodation portion. The first end wall prevents a finger of an operator from coming into contact with the first contact, and the second end wall prevents the finger of the operator from coming into contact with the second contact.

Method for connecting two connector parts

A method for connecting a movable connector part to a stationary connector part, the movable part being initially placed on a support and the stationary part being covered by a cap. The method includes gripping the cap by element of a lifting tool (10); depositing the cap (6) on the movable part by element of the lifting tool; and transporting the assembly of the cap and movable part onto the stationary part, by element of the lifting tool, in order to connect the stationary part and the movable part (4) to each other.

Electrical connector

An electrical connector includes an insulative elongated housing, and a plurality of contacts retained to the housing. The housing includes a base extending along the longitudinal direction and a mating tongue extending forwardly from the base in a front-to-back direction perpendicular to the longitudinal direction. Each contact includes a contacting/mating section exposed upon the mating tongue. The contacts include a plurality of differential-pair signal contacts and a plurality of grounding contacts alternately arranged with each other along the longitudinal direction. Each differential-pair signal contact is associated with a metallic wiping piece in front with a tiny gap so as to have the distance between the rear end of the contacting section and the front edge of the wiping piece is still equal to 3.9 mm which is regulated by the industry standard specification as a full length of the contacting section of the traditional contact.

Electrical connection device

A vehicle side electrical connector. The vehicle side electrical connector comprises a first mounting seat, a first high-voltage assembly and a first low-voltage assembly; wherein the first high-voltage assembly comprises of a first high-voltage pole, wherein the first high-voltage pole includes an electrical contact end and a wiring end, wherein the first high-voltage assembly comprises a flexible electrical connector and a high-voltage plug, one end of the flexible electrical connector is in a floating electrical connection with the wiring end of the first high-voltage pole, and the other end of the flexible electrical connector is in a floating electrical connection with the high-voltage plug; the flexible electrical connector adapts the relative displacement change in axial, radial and all directions between the first high-voltage pole and the high-voltage plug through a flexible cavity. By means of the vehicle side electrical connector, the first high-voltage assembly can be prevented from hard damage.

Terminal and board connector

A terminal (11) to be mounted into a housing (20) mounted on a circuit board (40) includes a terminal contact portion (12) to be disposed in a forwardly open receptacle (21) of the housing (20), an inserting portion (14) to be inserted into a terminal insertion hole (24) penetrating through a rear wall (22) of the receptacle (21) in a front-rear direction, and a board connecting portion (16) to be drawn out rearward from the terminal insertion hole (24) and connected to the circuit board (40). The inserting portion (14) includes a first press-fit portion (31) projecting in a first direction intersecting the circuit board (40) and to be press-fit to an inner wall of the terminal insertion hole (24) and a second press-fit portion (33) projecting in a second direction intersecting the first direction and to be press-fit to the inner wall of the terminal insertion hole (24).

Locking electrical contact device with switch

An electrical connector assembly includes a first electrical contact device and a second electrical contact device. The first electrical contact device includes a plurality of conductors. The second electrical contact device includes a first portion, a second portion movable in a rotational and translational manner relative to the first portion, and an actuator movable between a first position and a second position. The first portion includes first electrical contacts, and the second portion includes electrical sockets. Each socket receives an associated conductor and includes a second electrical contact aligned with an associated first electrical contact. The second portion is biased away from the first portion. When the actuator is in the first position, the actuator inhibits translational movement of the second portion toward the first portion. When the actuator is in the second position, the second portion is movable toward the first portion to permit the second electrical contacts to engage the first electrical contacts.

A bidirectional electrical connector includes: a housing made of a metal material; an insulation seat; a tongue; and two rows of contact terminals. Each of the two rows of contact terminals is provided with a contact. The two rows of contacts of the two rows of contact terminals are respectively disposed on the top and bottom sides of the tongue. Top and bottom surfaces of a front section of the tongue are projectingly provided with at least two limit projections, so that the top and bottom surfaces of the front section of the tongue have concave-convex structures, the at least two limit projections project beyond each of the two rows of contacts, and the concave-convex structure on the top and bottom surfaces of the tongue can make each row of contacts be isolated from the housing to prevent each row of contacts from being short-circuited.
