MULTIPLE CONNECTOR ASSEMBLY
20230032231 · 2023-02-02 · ·

Technologies are generally described for multiple individual connectors in a single connector assembly. The individual connectors may be any form-fit suitable connectors such as USB type connectors and similar ones. The connector assembly may be circular, oval, rectangular, or other shapes. Coupling between the plug and receptacle of the connector assembly may be through threads, pressure, a click-on mechanism, screws, or other compatible mechanisms. Off-the-shelf individual connectors may be fitted with a module adaptor, then inserted into an accordingly shaped inside portion of the outer shell, and held in place through a latching mechanism or similar. Alternatively, the connector assembly may be formed with the individual connectors and cabling may be added subsequently. In some examples, post retention or backshell retention may be implemented in conjunction with the plug connectors.

An assembly comprises a first subassembly, a second subassembly, and a conductive grounding element. The first subassembly comprises a first module comprising a first ground plane and a first conductive region in operable communication with the first ground plane. The second subassembly comprises a second module comprising a second ground plane distinct from the first ground plane and a second conductive region in operable communication with the second ground plane. The first and second subassemblies attach to each other along a seam. The conductive grounding element comprises an electrically conductive material including a first portion disposed adjacent to the first conductive region and a second portion disposed adjacent the second conductive region. The conductive grounding element is configured to fill one or more gaps in the seam and to operably couple together the first and second ground planes of the first and second subassemblies into a third common ground plane.

POWER RECEPTACLE ASSEMBLY

A power receptacle assembly includes a base unit which includes a housing. The housing includes a bottom housing, a housing cover coupled to the bottom housing and first and second end caps coupled to the bottom housing and the housing cover. The bottom housing, the housing cover, and the first and second end caps define a housing interior. The base unit also includes a constant voltage driver disposed within the housing interior. Additionally, the power receptacle assembly includes a plurality of power receptacles electronically coupled to the constant voltage driver though the housing. The power receptacle assembly also a secondary unit including a housing defining an interior, a sled coupled to another power receptacle configured to be disposed within the housing interior and a clamp.

Uninterruptable tap

A coaxial tap in a hybrid fiber coaxial cable distribution system serves subscribers with an RF signal.

Ground and supply cable compensation architecture for USB power delivery subsystem

A multi-port Universal Serial Bus Type-C (USB-C) controller with ground and supply cable compensation technologies is described. A USB-C controller includes a first power control circuit (PCU) coupled to a system ground terminal and a first ground terminal and a second PCU coupled to the system ground terminal and a second ground terminal. The first PCU receives a first ground signal indicative of a first ground potential at a first USB-C connector and adjusts a first power voltage line (VBUS) signal on the first VBUS terminal based on the first ground signal and the system ground. The second PCU receives a second ground signal indicative of a second ground potential at a second USB-C connector and adjusts a second VBUS signal on the second VBUS terminal based on the second ground signal and the system ground.
