Ground and supply cable compensation architecture for USB power delivery subsystem
A multi-port Universal Serial Bus Type-C (USB-C) controller with ground and supply cable compensation technologies is described. A USB-C controller includes a first power control circuit (PCU) coupled to a system ground terminal and a first ground terminal and a second PCU coupled to the system ground terminal and a second ground terminal. The first PCU receives a first ground signal indicative of a first ground potential at a first USB-C connector and adjusts a first power voltage line (VBUS) signal on the first VBUS terminal based on the first ground signal and the system ground. The second PCU receives a second ground signal indicative of a second ground potential at a second USB-C connector and adjusts a second VBUS signal on the second VBUS terminal based on the second ground signal and the system ground.

Each of the at least one adapting elements includes a first polarity terminal, a second polarity terminal, and a third polarity terminal. The adapter includes at least one adapter interface, a first polarity adapting member, a second polarity adapting member, and a third polarity adapting member. When the at least one adapting element and the at least one adapter interface are engaged with each other, the at least one adapting element is electrically connected to the at least one adapter interface.
Connecting apparatus
A connecting apparatus comprising a holding member and a conductive member. The holding member has holding portions. The conductive member has a plurality of held portions, a plurality of contact portions, a plurality of extending portions and a plurality of coupling portions. Each of the extending portions extends rearward in a front-rear direction from one of the held portions and protrudes rearward in the front-rear direction beyond the holding portion. The extending portions are positioned apart from each other in a right-left direction. The coupling portions are positioned apart from each other in the right-left direction. The coupling portions are positioned rearward of the extending portions in the front-rear direction. Each of the coupling portions couples two of the extending portions with each other. Two of the held portions, which are adjacent to each other in the right-left direction, are coupled with the two extending portions, respectively.
CONNECTOR ASSEMBLY, FEMALE CONNECTOR, AND MALE CONNECTOR
A connector assembly includes a male connector and a female connector. The male connector includes N pins with different lengths, and the N pins respectively correspond to N different transmission signals. The female connector includes N signal layers configured to transmit the N different transmission respectively, and each of the N signal layers includes N pass gates. One of the N pass gates of each of the N signal layers is configured to be coupled to a corresponding one of the N pins.
POWER SWITCHING DEVICE AND APPLICATION THEREOF
