11092298 · 2021-08-17 ·

A ceiling suspension, including a first member, including physical and electrical connectors for being physically and electrically fixed to the ceiling, a second member, including physical and electrical connectors, for being physically and electrically connected to an electrical appliance, where the first and second members include complementary electrical connectors, being configured for electrically connecting one another upon completing horizontal sliding of the second member in relation to the first member being fixed to the ceiling, and where the first and second members include complementary physical connectors, being configured for supporting the second member by the first member upon completing the horizontal sliding of the second member.

Electrical receptacle connector with elastic contacts

An electrical receptacle connector includes an insulated housing, receptacle terminals, and a metallic shell. The insulated housing includes a base portion and a tongue portion outwardly extending from the base portion. Two metal sheets are arranged at two sides of the tongue portion. Each of the metal sheets includes a hook structure protruding from a side portion of the tongue portion and a through hole adjacent to the hook structure. The receptacle terminals are held in the base portion and disposed at the surface of the tongue portion. The metallic shell includes a receptacle cavity. The insulated housing is held in the receiving cavity. The contact arms are formed by the through holes of the metal sheets in an elastic manner, to avoid the hooks on both sides of the electrical plug connector in contact with the metal sheets in a poor interference manner.

Systems and methods for supporting a component

Interconnectors, interconnector assemblies, and methods for supporting components are provided. An interconnector as disclosed connects a supported component to another component or assembly securely and accurately, even where the supported component and the other component have different expansion or contraction characteristics. The interconnector includes a plurality of support elements disposed in an array. Each support element includes a support surface at a free end of the support element. The areas of the support surfaces decrease with distance from a center of the array. In a completed assembly, the free ends of the support elements in the array are joined to the supported component.

Connector

A connector includes contacts, a mid-plate and a housing, each contact having a contact portion at a front end portion and having a length corresponding to an effective connection length along a fitting direction, an exposed portion adjacent to a rear end of the contact portion and exposed from the housing, a connecting portion at a rear end portion, and a holding portion between the exposed portion and the connecting portion and at least partially embedded in the housing, the contact portion of each contact being disposed away from the mid-plate by a predetermined distance, each of a plurality of pairs of contacts having a separation portion separated from the mid-plate by a separation distance longer than the predetermined distance, the separation portion including the exposed portion and a part of the holding portion adjacent to a rear end of the exposed portion in the fitting direction.

Flexible fabric ribbon connectors for garments with sensors and electronics

Elastic electrical connectors that may be incorporated into a garment to connect multiple electrical components in the garment. These electrical connectors are typically long strips of fabric substrate to which wires are attached along a length of one side in a sinusoidal or zig-zag pattern. The connector may also include an adhesive coating on one side to secure it to a fabric. The wires are electrically insulated, which may be a thermoremovable insulation (e.g., a polyurethane having a melting point of <400° C.). The wires may be attached to the surface of the fabric strip by a stitch at each peak and trough of the sinusoidal or zig-zag pattern with a length between peak and trough stitches between about 1 mm and 15 mm.

Low-profile manipulator interface system

The present disclosure relates to a low mass system for releasably securing a robotic arm to a spacecraft and also securing various payloads to the robotic arm and to each other, permitting the robotic arm to be both moved from one location to another suitably equipped location on a spacecraft to another and to allow the free end of the robotic arm to be secured to any payload also similarly equipped such that this payload may be manipulated by the robotic arm.

An integrated sensor assembly provides multiple sensing modalities to monitor an agricultural environment, and may be employed in or used with controlled environment agriculture (CEA) systems to control and maintain improved growth conditions for various plants. In one exemplary implementation, an integrated sensor assembly includes sensors to monitor parameters important to plant growth, such as a natural light sensor, an air temperature sensor, a relative humidity sensor, an air flow sensor, a carbon dioxide (CO2) sensor, and a remote infrared (IR) temperature sensor. The sensors are mounted onto a single circuit board, which is then placed inside a housing for protection from the ambient environment. The housing can include one or more openings and apertures to facilitate sensing with protective covers where appropriate. A USB port can be included to supply electrical power and transfer of data to and from the integrated sensor assembly (e.g., to provide plug-and-play functionality).

SNAP BUTTON FASTENER PROVIDING ELECTRICAL CONNECTION
20210044065 · 2021-02-11 ·

Embodiments are generally directed to a snap button fastener providing electrical connection. An embodiment of a fastener includes a first mechanical part, the first mechanical part including at least a stud portion, the first mechanical part including a first electrical connector; a second mechanical part, the second mechanical part including at least a socket portion with a spring element and the socket portion, the second mechanical part including a second electrical connector. The stud portion of the first mechanical part and the socket portion of second mechanical part, if separated, are to interlock upon the application of a first force towards each other, and, if interlocked, to separate upon the application of a second force away from each other. The first electrical connector and the second electrical connector are to be electrically connected when the first mechanical part and the mechanical part are interlocked, and first electrical connector and the second electrical connector are to be disconnected when the first mechanical part and second mechanical part are separated.
