The connector plug includes a first end for receiving the single pair Ethernet cable and a second end having a pair of contacts, each of the contacts comprising a receptacle contact interface, a conductor interface, and an extension to provide an increased width between conductor gripping prongs at the conductor interface while maintaining a consistent spacing between the pair of contacts at the receptacle contact interface with connector plugs configured to mate with different gauge cables. The connector plug comprises a latch for secure attachment to the receptacle and a pull cord connected to the latch and accessible when the connector plug is inserted into the receptacle with other connector plugs for release of the connector plug.
WIRING MEMBER
A wiring member includes: at least one first cover wire; at least one second cover wire; and a first sheet to which at least the first cover wire is fixed, wherein a first hole is formed in the first sheet, and a connection part where a core wire of the first cover wire and a core wire of the second cover wire are connected is located in a region where the first hole is formed.
ELECTRONIC DEVICE CONNECTION PORTS
Example connection ports for electronic devices are disclosed. In an example, the connection port includes a longitudinal axis, a receptacle that extends axially with respect to the longitudinal axis, and a substrate disposed within the receptacle. The substrate includes an end and a support surface that extends axially with respect to the longitudinal axis. In addition, the connection port includes a plurality of first electrical contacts on the support surface, a plurality of second electrical contacts on the end. Each second electrical contact is electrically coupled to a corresponding one of the first electrical contacts.
PLUG CONNECTOR
A plug connector includes a plug housing including a mating end and a cable end. The cable end is oriented perpendicular to the mating end. The plug housing includes a mating chamber at the mating end and a cable chamber at the cable end. The plug connector includes a contact assembly coupled to the plug housing. The contact assembly includes an array of contacts. Each contact includes a mating end and a terminating end. Each contact is a right angle contact having the terminating end being perpendicular to the mating end. The plug connector includes cables terminated to the terminating ends of the contacts. Ends of the cables extend into the cable end of the plug housing. The cables extend from the plug housing at the cable end. The cables extend along linear cable axes from the contacts to the exterior of the plug housing.
ELECTRICAL CONNECTOR ASSEMBLY WITH A CONNECTION INDICATOR FOR A MOTOR VEHICLE
An electrical connector assembly includes a pair of electrical connectors for electrically connecting to one another to close an electric circuit. The assembly further includes a connection indicator attached to one or more of the electrical connectors. The connection indicator generates a feedback, in response to the electrical connectors being one of connected to one another and disconnected from one another. The connection indicator is separate from the electric circuit, and the feedback is at least one of a radio frequency signal (RF signal), an electronic signal, a visible light, and an acoustic signal.
SYSTEM AND METHOD FOR DETECTING MOISTURE IN A USB TYPE-C PORT
A system and method for detecting moisture in a USC Type-C port having at least one probe comprised of a signal electrode and a VBUS electrode in the USB Type-C port. The at least one probe detects a voltage at the signal electrode and a judgment circuit compares detected voltage to a voltage threshold, wherein the judgment circuit outputs a low setting when the voltage detected at the signal electrode of the at least one probe is less than or equal to the threshold voltage, and the judgment circuit outputs a high setting when the voltage detected at the signal electrode is above the voltage threshold.
CABLE TERMINATION FOR INFORMATION HANDLING SYSTEMS
A cable such as a server cable may have a tapered termination portion that when connected to other information handling system components reduces the loss of signal between the cable and the information handling system component. A method of making a cable with a tapered termination portion comprising heating a wire having an end and a body portion, the body portion having a first diameter; pulling the end relative to the body portion, for example with a clamp coupled to the end under tension, to obtain a location between the end and the body portion having a second diameter smaller than the first diameter; and cutting the wire at the location.
ELECTRICAL CONNECTOR ASSEMBLY
An electrical connector assembly including a first connector and a second connector to be mated with each other is provided. The first connector includes a first body, and at least one first terminal and multiple second terminals disposed therein. The second terminals are symmetrically arranged at opposite sides of the first terminal. The second connector includes a second body, at least one third terminal movably disposed in the second body, multiple fourth terminals disposed in the second body and symmetrically arranged at opposite sides of the third terminal, and a driving module electrically connected to at least one of the fourth terminals and structurally connected to the third terminal. In the mating process of the first and second connector, the second terminals and the fourth terminals are electrically connected firstly, to trigger the driving module to move the third terminal to be structurally and electrically connected to the first terminal.
TELECOMMUNICATIONS JACK ADAPTER
A telecommunications jack adapter for receiving multiple types of jacks can include an opening structure having a main body defining a central opening for receiving a first jack type having a first dimension and a second jack type having a second dimension greater than the first dimension, wherein the main body is flexible such that the opening structure matches the first dimension in a relaxed state and matches the second dimension in an expanded state. In some examples, the main body has deflectable latch members configured to engage with an opening structure configured to receive a third jack type.
Implantable medical devices having modular lead bores
Implantable medical devices have modular lead bores that are constructed from individual lead bore modules. A given modular lead bore utilizes the number of individual lead bore modules necessary for the particular implantable medical device. Each lead bore module has a lead bore passageway and a feedthrough passageway. An electrical contact is present within the lead bore passageway of each lead bore module and the electrical contact is aligned to the lead bore passageway of a lead bore module. Hermetic feedthrough assemblies are also present within the lead bore passageway of each lead bore module. A feedthrough pin passes through a hermetic feedthrough assembly within a feedthrough passageway of each lead bore module. Each feedthrough pin is electrically coupled to a corresponding electrical contact and the medical device circuitry.
