Systems and methods associated with smart devices

A system which in some embodiments comprises a wireless smart device assembly that includes a smart device, wherein the smart device assembly is attachable or mountable against an unopened surface of a wall or other structure. In some embodiments, a system comprises a smart device assembly that includes a smart device; and a fastener that includes adhesive and is coupled to the smart device assembly and releasably attachable to a wall or other structure. Some embodiments include a level indicator configured to indicate the angular position or orientation of one or more other portion of the smart device assembly relative to parallel and/or plumb to the force of gravity. In some embodiments, a mount and/or a cover define a catch to releasably attach the cover to the mount.

Cutting station and method for automatically cutting cable elements to a specific length

A cutting station for the automatic cutting to a specific length of cable elements and has a magazine which extends in a longitudinal direction and a transverse direction and has several holders for one cable element each. The cable elements are held next to each other in a horizontal magazine plane. A processing head extends in a longitudinal direction, which is movable in a transverse direction relative to the stationary magazine and is designed for gripping, pulling off and cutting to a specific length a respective currently selected cable element from the magazine. Each holder has two fixing elements spaced apart from one another in the longitudinal direction for holding the cable element. For machining by the processing head, a respective holder with a respective cable element is lifted in a preferred configuration from the magazine plane into the working plane.

WALL-MOUNTED BOX FOR ELECTRICAL SYSTEMS AND INSTALLATION METHOD THEREOF
20220393451 · 2022-12-08 · ·

In general, the application of the present invention regards the electrical wiring of buildings. In particular, the solution identified concerns the positioning and installation of boxes suitable for housing electrical sockets, or control systems, or various sensors on the walls of the rooms, when these internal walls are made, or covered, with panels made of plasterboard or, alternatively, with other similar materials.

The present invention indicates a box for extracting electrical contacts from an electric line made by means of a “ribbon cable” laid under a surface finishing panel of a wall or ceiling. This box is easy to install, and makes an electrical power interface available on this wall, so that said power interface is accessible to a load.

Template for electrical receptical cutout
11518021 · 2022-12-06 ·

A self-supporting template for an electrical receptacle cutout and method of using the template. The template includes a base plate with template openings, an upright on the base plate, a biased reciprocating push button, and at least one sharp. The push button is secured to the upright for transverse reciprocation between a biased first position spaced furthest from the base plate and a second position spaced closest to the base plate. The at least one sharp reciprocates concurrently with the push button wherein the distal tip is fully recessed when the push button is in the first position and protrudes a fully extended distance in the second transverse direction from the lower major surface of the base plate when the push button is in the second position.

MAGNETIC PLUGS FOR ELECTRICAL CONTAINMENT ENCLOSURES
20220384075 · 2022-12-01 ·

A magnetic plug and method of plugging unwanted knockout holes in electrical containment enclosures. The method requires only one hand and is performed without tools. Everything can be done from outside the electrical containment enclosure. The actual plugging step is completed in a few seconds. One of nine invented plugs is selected to best match the nine standardized hole diameters found in electrical containment enclosures. Selecting the correct plug size results in the best fit and feel since perception matters. Savings in time and money is expected to pay back the cost of a plug.

ELECTRICAL OUTLET CUTTING JIG

Disclosed herein is an electrical outlet cutting jig that includes a ruler and a body having a lower perimeter, wherein the body includes a first channel defined along a first axis of the body. The body also includes a first level indicator and a second level indicator orthogonal to the first level indicator to enable a user to align the cutting jig correctly. The first channel is configured to receive the ruler such that a lower surface of the ruler is flush with the lower perimeter of the body and such that the ruler can slide within the first channel. The ruler enables the user to position the body of the cutting jig at a predetermined distance from a location, such as a door frame, floor, skirting board, or the like.

Leveling Tool

A leveling tool configured to be releasably attached to a pipe includes a level carried by a main body and a pair of first and second articulating arms extending from the main body. One or more magnets are carried by the arms. Each of the first and second arms is configured articulate so as wrap at least part way around a pipe. The first and second magnets are configured to releasably attach the first and second arms to the pipe.

Indicia and method for identifying telecommunications components

Indicia elements are added to telecommunications components to identify the source of the telecommunications component. Indicia elements can include at least one of a logo, a specific color (e.g. a color different from a non-indicative base color of the telecommunications component), text information, a barcode, a QR code, and a RFID tag. The indicia elements can aid in identifying or tracing network connections, identifying types of connectors and/or cables, labeling the network connections, and identifying a network operator in a multi-network environment.
