Wallbox Installation Tool

As described herein, a wall box installation tool may include a template body, one or more hollow pegs, a guide ring, and/or one or more template cards. The template cards may be configured to be installed on a front surface of the template body. A template card may define a plurality of holes therethrough. The guide ring may be configured to be installed within a pre-drilled hole in a wall. Each template card may be associated with a respective electrical device configuration. A subset of bores extending through the hollow pegs may be accessible via the template card when the template card is installed on the front surface of the template body. The wall box installation tool may include one or more fasteners that are configured to install a template card onto the front surface of the template body.

A system and leveling device for installing an electrical box or ring on a wall stud, and a process for installation using the same. The leveling device has a generally planar elongated substrate having a horizontal bubble level on a front face and positioning pins on a rear face. The positioning pins are configured for insertion into gang screw holes on the electrical box or ring. The system includes cross-stud braces for spanning the distance between adjacent wall studs. The electrical box or ring has pass-through slots to receive the cross-stud braces so that the electrical box or ring can be leveled using the leveling device prior to attaching the cross-stud braces to the wall studs.

The present disclosure describes a cable hanger assembly. The cable hanger assembly comprises a support structure, a cable hanger, and a mounting assembly. The cable hanger comprises a front shell half that mates with a rear shell half. The front shell half and the rear shell half have a front shell half inner surface and a rear shell half inner surface that cooperate with each other to secure a cable within a cable receptacle. The cable hanger further comprises a front shell bolt aperture through the front shell half and a rear shell half bolt aperture through the rear shell half where the front shell half bolt aperture aligns with the rear shell half bolt aperture when the front shell half is mated to the rear shell half. The mounting assembly comprises a threaded bolt, a plurality of flat washers formed of a non-metallic material, and a plurality of nuts formed of a non-metallic material. The mounting assembly may optional comprise a lock washer formed of a non-metallic material. The threaded bolt extends through the front and rear shell half bolt apertures and is secured with the plurality of flat washers, optional lock washer and nuts to retain the cable hanger to the support structure.

System for detecting faults in electrical cabling

A main electrical cabling is subject to variations in ambient temperature over its length. A detection system for detecting a fault in the main electrical cabling able to cause a serial arc, or heating within a connection, includes a monitor electrical cabling placed alongside the main electrical cabling and a controllable current generator injecting, at the input of the monitor electrical cable, a current proportional to the current flowing through the main electrical cabling. The main and monitor sets of electrical cabling being joined at the output, an electronic circuitry measures the difference between the electrical potential at the input of the main electrical cabling and that at the input of the monitor electrical cabling and detects a fault in the main electrical cabling when the difference of the electrical potentials exceeds a predefined threshold. A fault in the main electrical cabling is detected despite the variations in temperature.

Power cables and electrical cables have electrical connections to the central patch panel. The electrical cables are configured to have reciprocal connectors connectable to compatible client electrical connectors on client electrical cables in the client cabinet, thereby the central patch panels in the central cabinet are a pre-assembled unit for installation at a client site and for connecting client cabinets thereto.
