Lightning protection system
A lightning protection system for a tower of a wind turbine is provided. The tower includes a reinforced concrete tower wall in which a plurality of electrically conductive structural reinforcing elements are embedded during construction. The lightning protection system includes a plurality of the structural reinforcing elements connected in an electrically conductive manner with each other and with a ground terminal. Further, a method of incorporating such a lightning protection system in a reinforced concrete tower, and a wind turbine with such a lightning protection system is provided.
LARGE INDUCTORS FOR LIGHTNING PROTECTION OF POWER SYSTEMS
Embodiments herein describe a discharge filter, located in a root of a wind turbine blade, which includes one or more cables wound into large scale inductors using an internal or external surface of the root as a mandrel. These cables provide power inputs to an electrical panel for one or more a powered systems that are located in a body of the wind turbine blade. The electrical panel is connected to a lightning protection system that selectively provides a path to ground, and the inductors form a high-impedance barrier that shunts power away from the cables and onto the lightning protection system in the event of a lightning strike or other electrical discharge traveling from the powered systems to the electrical panel.
SPAR STRUCTURE WITH INTEGRATED DOWN CONDUCTOR ELEMENT FOR LIGHTNING PROTECTION SYSTEM
A sparcap for a spar structure inside a wind turbine blade is provided. A down conductor element is integrated on a side of the sparcap such that after assembly of the sparcap into the spar structure, the down conductor element extends along an outer corner of the spar structure.
AUTOMATIC TRIPPING AND ANTI-FALLING ARRESTER AND A LIGHTNING PROTECTION AND FUSE INTEGRATED COMBINATION DEVICE
The present invention discloses an automatic tripping and anti-falling lightning arrester which includes an insulator main body, a lightning arrester body and an anti-falling member, wherein the insulator main body with a sealed cylinder structure, and a magnet adsorption surface inside the insulator main body; the lightning arrester body has a disconnection unit and a lightning arresting core respectively arranged from top to bottom, and the lightning arrester body is located inside the insulator main body, the disconnection unit includes a magnetic tripping module wherein a magnet is provided, and wherein the disconnection unit is adsorbed onto the magnet adsorption surface, wherein aging of the lightning arresting core results in a thermal effect inside the magnetic tripping module, which makes the disconnection unit disconnected from the magnet adsorption surface, and wherein the anti-falling member is provided on the insulator main body.
SELF-REGISTERING, -SQUARING, AND -SUPPORTING MOUNT APPARATUS AND METHOD
An anchor for components of a lightning protection system may rely on a bonding agent, such as an adhesive, needing time for curing, drying, or otherwise setting (increasing in adhesion, strength, mechanical stability, or any combination thereof) by remaining in place while setting. The anchor may be suspended by a lip extending horizontally past an edge (plane of intersection of two planar surfaces) where a base plate is adhered to a vertical surface and the lip rests, registers in translation, and squares in rotation against a horizontal surface sharing an edge or fold (corner, bend) with the vertical surface. Once set sufficiently, the adhesive supports loads in shear (along plane of adhesion) and tension (perpendicular to plane of adhesion) imposed by brackets holding a cable, point, or both at each base plate.

Electrical grounding systems
An electrical grounding system can include an electrically conductive column configured for communication with a fault current source, wherein the electrically conductive column can include an open-ended copper tube, and carbon fiber fabric assembled onto at least a portion of the electrically conductive column, the carbon fiber fabric having a conductive relationship with at least a portion of the electrically conductive column.
Conduit Cap
Disclosed herein is a conduit cap. The conduit cap includes a cap, an outer clamp member, and a bolt. The cap defines a central first threaded axial blind opening and has a top and an interior cylindrical rim coaxial with the central threaded opening and has an outer clamp defining a transverse second threaded opening and has two outwardly projecting angularly spaced shoulders. The outer clamp member defines a third opening alignable with the transverse second opening and a pair of parallel recesses. The outer clamp member has two pairs of opposed wings. Each pair of wings at least defining a recess dimensioned to receive a shoulder. The bolt is insertable though the third opening and threadably engageable in the transverse opening to clamp the outer clamp member to the first clamp.
Fracturing well site system
A fracturing well site system includes an electric-driven apparatus, a fuel-driven apparatus, an electric-power supply apparatus and a grounding system. The grounding system includes a first grounding terminal which is spaced from each of the electric-driven apparatus, the fuel-driven apparatus and the electric-power supply apparatus by a preset distance. The fuel-driven apparatus and at least one of the electric-driven apparatus and the electric-power supply apparatus are connected to the first grounding terminal, and the first grounding terminal is configured to ground the fuel-driven apparatus and the at least one of the electric-driven apparatus and the electric-power supply apparatus.
