METHOD OF MAKING A GASKET FOR A DOUBLE BUSBAR AND A DOUBLE BUSBAR
20240125388 · 2024-04-18 · ·

A method of manufacturing a gasket for a double busbar is disclosed. The double busbar may be composed of two separate electrically insulated flat conductors. The conductors may be arranged one above the other. The double busbar may be placed in a mold cavity for molding the gasket. The mold cavity may be closed around the double busbar and filled with a sealing material. The introduced sealing material flows around the flat conductors, adhering to the flat conductors, and solidifying in the mold cavity to form a gasket molded to the double busbar.

Seal systems for oil-filled cable terminations and assemblies and methods including the same

A seal system for an oil-filled cable termination including a cable extending through each of a cable gland and a stress cone that is spaced apart from the cable gland. The seal system includes: a first oil seal layer surrounding the cable between the cable gland and the stress cone; a second oil seal layer overlapping and contacting the first oil seal layer; a first oil barrier layer overlapping and contacting an upper portion of the second oil seal layer; a second oil barrier layer overlapping and contacting a lower portion of the second oil seal layer, the second oil barrier layer spaced apart from the first oil barrier layer; and a heat shrinkable tube secured around the first and second oil barrier layers.

Wire harness having a waterproofing agent

Provided is a wire harness in which waterproofness of an exposed conductor portion can be ensured, and even when at least one of insulated wires is exposed to a high temperature, a rubber stopper of a waterproofing terminal can be kept from coming off. An outer peripheral surface of an exposed conductor portion where partially exposed conductors of a plurality of insulated wires are joined together, and outer peripheral surfaces of coating material end portions adjacent to the exposed conductor portion, is continuously covered with a waterproofing agent. A gap between adjacent insulated wires is sealed with the waterproofing agent at the coating material end portions adjacent to the exposed conductor portion. At least one insulated wire of the plurality of insulated wires has a flow path through which gas flows, the flow path being created in gaps between strands that constitute a conductor of the insulated wire.
