PET EVALUATION AND TRIAGE SYSTEM
A system is provided to provide triage recommendations for animals. The system accesses a syndrome mapping of syndromes to complaints, each syndrome having a triage category. The system accesses a complaint mapping of complaints to symptoms. Each symptom for a complaint has a weight. The system receives indications of a current complaint and current symptoms of an animal. Each current symptom has a score. The system identifies the triage category based on a syndrome to which the current complaint and the current symptoms apply, factoring in the weights and the scores. The system provides a recommendation for the animal based on the identified triage category.
Apparatus and methods for receiving discharged urine
A system suitable for collecting and transporting urine away from the body of a person or animal may include an assembly having a fluid impermeable casing having a fluid reservoir at a first end, a fluid outlet at a second end, and a longitudinally extending fluid impermeable layer coupled to the fluid reservoir and the fluid outlet and defining a longitudinally elongated opening between the reservoir and the outlet. The assembly can further include a fluid permeable support disposed within the casing with a portion extending across the elongated opening, and a fluid permeable membrane disposed on the support and covering at least the portion of the support that extends across the elongated opening, so that the membrane is supported on the support and disposed across the elongated opening. The assembly can further include a tube having a first end disposed in the reservoir and a second, fluid discharge end.

Animal capturing net
An animal capturing net having a simple mechanism is provided to capture cats or dogs safely and easily. The animal capturing net comprises a net having an upper opening portion, a lower bottom portion, and a prescribed depth D that separates the opening portion and the bottom portion, and a frame that is coupled with the net along an opening edge portion of the net. The frame is constituted to comprise a set of two operating frames facing each other so that they can be operated independently.

EQUINE HEALTH AND SAFETY SYSTEM AND METHOD
A health and safety system and method are described for use on equines, canines and felines, in order to obtain data on vital life-sustaining or life-threatening processes and signs directly from the animal. The vital life-sustaining and/or life-threatening processes and/or signs in the form of data are communicated from the animal to a site remote from the equine, canine and feline. The remotely communicated data can be archived and/or communicated to a veterinarian/owner/steward/or other designate, to induce human intervention. Other sensors of the health and safety system can read/report environmental conditions, such as weather, or report other environmental conditions, such as smoke/pollution remote from, and/or proximate the animal. A position locator, such as a GPS, may also be built into the equine health and safety system. The equine health and safety system may include a halter/hackamore/bridle/harness or other components, such as a medallion, provided with a QR, or other codes, that can be read by a smart phone to put the telephone into contact with a veterinarian, an owner, stable or other authorized care custodian of the equine, canine or feline. A method of providing at least one response to the read vital life processes and signs, such as warming the equine, canine or feline, is also described.

INTELLIGENT DUAL SENSORY SPECIES-SPECIFIC RECOGNITION TRIGGER SYSTEM
An apparatus and method for autonomous and accurate identification of target animal species, such as in animal species control and management systems for use in public or private agricultural and related communities. An intelligent, autonomous, dual-sensory, animal species-specific recognition system useful for activating wildlife management and related devices when a particular animal species approaches the system is provided. The device and method use a combination of both acoustic and visual sensors, together with efficient and robust recognition algorithms and signal/image processing techniques, to maximize accurate target-specific identification and reject false alarms.
