DAMAGING CANCEROUS CELLS UTILIZING RADIO FREQUENCY WAVES IN HEATING WITH HEATING ENHANCED BY INFUSION OR INJECTION OF GLUCOSE
20230097605 · 2023-03-30 ·

A method for killing or damaging cancerous cells in a living body comprising introducing glucose or other organic material as a biasing component into heating cancerous cells for purposes of destroying the cancerous cells with a second method of heating, such as by bombardment of energy from an external electromagnetic source, so as to raise the temperature of the tumor or cancerous cells to a degree that they are damaged or expire.

SYSTEMS AND METHODS FOR RAPID CONTRAST THERAPY
20230096693 · 2023-03-30 ·

A rapid contrast therapy system can provide cold, heat/hot/warm (hereafter referred to as “hot”), and/or rapid contrast therapy, which involves rapidly alternating between cold therapy and hot therapy. The system can circulate cold or hot fluid, such as water, through a hose, into a therapy wrap, and then back to the fluid reservoirs of the system. The system can utilize a vapor compression system or other chiller technology to cool the cold water reservoir, and immersion heaters can be used to heat the hot water reservoir.

Meibomian gland roller

A Meibomian Gland Roller system allows for self-administered the treatment for a leading cause of dry eyes, namely, tear film oil deficiency. The system combines an effective and safe technique to combine mechanical rolling pressure with heat for meibomian gland drainage. The rolling action of the roller cylinder combined with the roller head to increase effectiveness in empting inspissated meibomian glands. The roller allows the patient to safely start the application of the pressure at the bottom of the glands and effectively roll open clogged oil glands. The washable roller keeps the head clean for long term use. A preheated eye-shaped soft gel pad can prepare the lids before the roller tip is applied by heating and softening the meibomian gland contents, allowing the roller to have a more effective action to induce mechanical extraction of the gland content.

MULTI-MODAL THERMAL THERAPY FOR BLEPHARITIS, MEIBOMIAN GLAND DYSFUNCTION AND DRY EYE SYNDROME
20230100143 · 2023-03-30 ·

Methods for treating Blepharitis, Meibomian Gland Dysfunction and Dry Eye Syndrome include thermal massage, thermal debridement, and thermal expression. Particular embodiments include use of handheld devices that provide the thermal therapy to tissue by contacting a surface heated with thermal energy to a patient's tissue. Thermal energy can be continuously provided during operation. In particular embodiments, a handheld device comprises a base assembly operatively connected to a removeable thermal energy applicator. A wide range of thermal applicators may be connected to the base assembly to provide different treatments, including heat application, debridement, and expression of the treated tissue or gland.

Pain management and post-operative hip orthosis
11571322 · 2023-02-07 · ·

An improved pain management and post-operative hip orthosis includes a waist strap having first and second ends, a lower strap having first and second ends, and a pocket extending between the waist strap and lower strap. The pocket has inner and outer panels fastened to each other to define an upper opening and a lower opening. A cooling pack including a reservoir and inlet and outlet tubes extending from a bottom of the reservoir is applied to the pocket such that the inlet and outlet tubes pass through the lower opening of the pocket.

Applicator with internal chambers for dispensing therapeutic fluids
11571556 · 2023-02-07 · ·

An applicator has a stem, one or more tips, and one or more chambers which may hold therapeutic or medicinal fluids. The applicator may be separated into two sections so the tips can be used independently. The fluids held in the chambers may be separated with one or more frangible walls which can be broken to release or mix the fluids. The tips are used as applicators for the therapeutic or medicinal effects produced by the fluids or the medicines contained in the cavity.

Temperature controlled and vibrating therapeutic garment

A temperature controllable wrap assembly that includes a wrap portion configured to be worn around a user's body part, and at least a first temperature control module positioned on the wrap portion. The first temperature control module includes a housing, a controllable temperature element, a spreader member and at least a first finger spreader pivotably attached to the spreader member. The lower surface of the spreader member is positioned to contact the user's body part. The controllable temperature element is configured to transfer thermal energy to an upper surface of the spreader member, and the spreader member is configured to conduct thermal energy to the first finger spreader.

SELF-HEATING FOLDING MASSAGE TABLE
20230098443 · 2023-03-30 · ·

The present disclosure is applicable to the technical field of massage apparatuses, and provides a self-heating folding massage table. The self-heating folding massage table includes a rigid planner surface, a sponge cushion, an electric heating mechanism, a circuit board, a transformer, a temperature sensing device, a controller, an upholstery cover, and leg supports. An operating voltage of the electric heating element is a safe operating voltage lower than 36 V, so that the safety of a user can be ensured, and the fault rate of a product is lower. The temperature sensing device is added in the electric heating mechanism to prevent fusing of the electric heating element or a fire caused by an extremely high local temperature.
