Electric pump
An electric oil pump constructed by integrally combining an electric motor with an oil pump, wherein the electric motor is composed of a motor casing, a drive shaft that is disposed in a motor housing chamber formed inside the motor casing and is rotatably supported, a rotor that is disposed on the drive shaft, and a stator that is located inside the motor housing chamber and is attached to the motor casing. The electric oil pump is equipped with an internal controller that controls application of electric power to the stator so as to cause the drive shaft to be driven to rotate via the rotor.
Motor driving apparatus
A motor driving apparatus includes: a switch having a first terminal that receives an external voltage, and a second terminal; a driving circuit coupled to the first terminal of the switch, and powered by the external voltage; a control circuit coupled to the second terminal of the switch; and a power circuit coupled across the switch, and outputting an internal voltage associated with the external voltage to power the control circuit to control the driving circuit to drive a motor of a power tool to rotate in a first direction when the switch operates in the ON state and to rotate in a second direction for a predetermined time period counting from each instance the switch transitions to the OFF state.
Motor control apparatus
A motor control apparatus includes a motor, a motor controller, and a connection line. The motor is mounted to a vehicle and has a metal housing. The motor controller is separately provided with the motor, includes a housing and a circuit portion, is connected to the motor through a load line, and drives the motor by a drive current transmitted through the load line. A ground line of the circuit portion is connected to a body of the vehicle as a body earth. The connection line directly connects the metal housing of the motor and the circuit portion of the motor controller without through the housing of the motor controller.

Electric motor torque control
A vehicle includes one or more inverter-fed electric machines such as permanent magnet synchronous motors. In response to a torque request, a controller issues commands to an inverter calculated to cause the motor to produce the requested torque. A method of operating the inverter may determine the commands based on the ratio of rotor speed to inverter input voltage, reducing the approximation error associated with multi-dimensional lookup tables. When the speed and voltage vary while maintaining a constant ratio and constant torque request, the issued commands produce a winding current in the electrical machine with constant direct and quadrature components.
Camera module including magnet sensors and coils
A camera module includes a lens, a first magnet and a second magnet mounted on a mobile body including the lens, a coil portion arranged near the first magnet and configured to move the first magnet in a first direction, and the magnetic sensor arranged near the second magnet and configured to detect the position of the second magnet in the first direction as a detection direction.
Methods of controlling a machine using a torque command limit derived from a current limit and systems thereof
At least one example embodiment discloses a method of controlling an alternating current (ac) machine. The method includes determining or retrieving a current limit for the ac machine, determining a characterized peak current value based on a voltage-to-speed ratio of the ac machine, determining current command values for the ac machine based on at least one of the torque command limit and a torque command for the ac machine, determining current command values for the ac machine based on the torque command limit and controlling the ac machine based on the current command values.
Multi-phase machine current control
A controller for controlling a multi-phase motor is described. The controller may be configured to drive a first virtual multi-phase motor in an active mode and drive a second virtual multi-phase motor in a passive mode. In the active mode, at least a portion of a reference torque is distributed to the first virtual multi-phase motor. In the passive mode, zero torque is distributed to the second virtual multi-phase motor.
Position corrected pulse width modulation for brushless direct current motors
A method of operating a brushless direct current motor is provided that generates a rotor position dependent pulse width modulation waveform. The waveform can improve motor efficiency and reduce torque variation.
Electric motor temperature compensation
A vehicle includes one or more inverter-fed electric machines such as permanent magnet synchronous motors. In response to a torque request, a controller issues commands to an inverter calculated to cause the motor to produce the requested torque at the current temperature. A method adjusts the direct component of the winding current such that the requested torque is delivered efficiently. For a given rotor speed, bus voltage, and torque, the direct component increases as the temperature increases.
