FLUID INJECTION DEVICE FOR INJECTING A FLUID BEHIND THE TYMPANIC MEMBRANE
20230181886 · 2023-06-15 ·

Fluid injection device for injecting a fluid behind a tympanic membrane of a patient, comprising: a hollow needle having a needle tip with a fluid outlet at a distal end thereof, the needle tip being configured for piercing the tympanic membrane of the patient; a container for storing the fluid to be injected behind the tympanic membrane, the container being arranged in fluid communication with the hollow needle; characterised, in that the hollow needle comprises an elongated venting aperture in an outer wall thereof, the elongated venting aperture being positionable at an inner side of an ear membrane of the patient as well as at an outer ide of said ear membrane when injecting fluid, so as to allow excess fluid on the inner side of said membrane to flow through the elongated venting aperture, to the outer side of said membrane.

Tympanostomy tube delivery device with cutter force clutch
09833359 · 2017-12-05 · ·

A tympanostomy tube delivery device comprises a drive assembly and a force limiting shaft assembly. The shaft assembly comprises a cannula and a piercer operable to translate relative to the cannula so as to pierce the tympanic membrane of a patient. The piercer is mechanically coupled with the drive assembly such that actuation of the drive assembly causes translation of the piercer relative to the cannula. The piercer is mechanically coupled with the drive assembly by a clutch. The clutch is resiliently biased to couple the piercer with the drive assembly. The clutch is configured to uncouple the piercer from the drive assembly in response to a threshold force being imposed upon the piercer so as to inhibit translation of piercer relative to the cannula.

Tympanostomy tube delivery device with replaceable shaft portion

A tympanostomy tube delivery device comprises a shaft assembly, a pressure equalization tube, and a handpiece. All or a portion of the shaft assembly is selectively coupleable and removable from the handpiece. The shaft assembly comprises a cannula, a piercer/dilator tube, a shield tube, and a pusher tube operable to translate relative to the cannula. The pressure equalization tube is positioned within the shield tube of the shaft assembly. The piercer/dilator tube and the shield tube are operable to pierce the tympanic membrane and dilate an opening formed therein. The pusher tube is operable to drive the pressure equalization tube out of the shield tube of the shaft assembly and into the opening formed in the tympanic membrane. Upon completion of the procedure, all or a portion of the shaft assembly may then be removed and replaced.

INNER EAR PLUG

Embodiments are generally directed to a securable inner drug delivery plug or stopper that is configured to be inserted into, and secured (retained) within, an opening of the inner ear of an recipient. The securable inner drug delivery plug is configured to deliver drugs directly into the inner ear.

Disposable dual tipped ear curette incorporating depth measurement system
09826920 · 2017-11-28 ·

A disposable dual ended ear curette incorporates specialized tip configurations and a depth measurement system. The ear curette may comprise a central handle portion; a first tip extending from one end of the handle portion and including an annular array of projections; and a second tip extending from an opposed end of the handle portion and including a blade member having a first lateral scraping edge on one edge of the blade member positioned adjacent a concave surface of the blade member, and a second lateral scraping edge on an opposed edge of the blade member. The ear curette may further include a sequence of spaced, visible measurement indicia on each tip, configured to provide an operator with a visual indication of the depth of operation of the associated tip in a patient's ear.

System for a catheter

A system for providing a continuous passage through a delivery catheter comprising a handle that defines an internal chamber. A first tube having a proximal end and a distal end and a first bore, the first tube being fixedly mounted within the handle, wherein the first bore at the distal end of the first tube is shaped to define a first inverse conical surface. A second tube having a proximal end and a distal end and a second bore, the second tube being slidably mounted within the handle, wherein the second bore is in axial alignment with the first bore. A third tube having a proximal end and a distal end and a third bore.

REUSABLE PERSONAL HYGIENE SWAB FOR PERSONAL HYGIENE OR COSMETICS USE
