Solar power plant design with underground light room
A new solar power plant design that utilizes a “Light Room” built underground, commercially available mirrors used in CSP and CPV power plants, and also commercially available PV modules. The usage of a Light Room built underground significantly increases sunlight to electricity conversion efficiency by a higher percentage of sunlight directed towards the PV modules, which are kept cool and clean via fans. Construction, operations and maintenance become easier, faster and cheaper. Overall land usage requirement, investment cost per unit installed power and LCOE are significantly reduced. The design allows installation in rural and urban areas, making it possible for applications not feasible with the current state of the art.
System for use with contaminated land and as part of a facility
A system for use with contaminated land comprises: a region defined by or within the land, the region having a plurality of locations defined therewithin; at each location, one or more apparatus selected from the group comprising: sensor, well, electrode, cathode, injector and vent; an array of photovoltaic cells for producing DC power; a ground-mounted frame supporting the array, the frame having a boundary substantially contiguous with the region and supporting the photovoltaic cells; a fluid distribution system of conduits supported by the frame; a power system for delivering DC power to each of the locations; and a communication system adapted to provide for remote control of the apparatus.

GRAIN DRYING APPARATUS
A grain drying apparatus configured to provide reduction of moisture of a grain disposed in a chamber thereof wherein the apparatus utilizes a photovoltaic power source. The present invention includes a housing having at least one wall, a bottom and a roof defining an interior volume. A heating chamber is present and is operable to provide heating of air for introduction into the grain drying apparatus. A heating coil assembly is operably coupled to the photovoltaic power source so as to provide heating of the air passing through the heating chamber. A first chamber is present wherein the first chamber is configured to receive grain therein. A second chamber is adjacent the first chamber and is operably coupled to the heating chamber. A void is present in the interior volume of the housing adjacent the second chamber. The wall intermediate the first and second chamber allows airflow therethrough.

SENSING AND FEEDBACK FOR ROW ON SUN TRACKING METHOD AND SYSTEM
A solar tracker system comprising a plurality of on sun trackers and a plurality of off sun tracker. Each tracker is selectively adjusted to achieve a desired power output of the solar power plant system in an example.
Methods and apparatus for installing solar panels
Several pre-assemblies holding panels of photovoltaic cells are constructed and pre-wired in a factory. The pre-assemblies are shipped to a solar farm, where they are lifted above posts secured to the ground using, for example, using an excavator connected to an end effector. The pre-assemblies are then connected to the posts and electrically coupled to one another. Such installation of solar panels in a solar farm may be faster and less labor-intensive than other types of installation.
