The first stage may include cutting a first substantially dry cloth to a predetermined size; inserting the first cloth into a flexible package; sealing a first end of the flexible package; and sterilizing the flexible package. The method may also include a second stage performed in a sterile environment. The second stage may include filling the flexible package with a medical solution such that the substantially dry cloth absorbs at least a portion of the medical solution; and sealing the open end of the flexible package.

A time delay reduces the likelihood of or prevents someone from continuously activating the motion sensor to dispense all of the products in the machine.

Adhesive anchors may be cut from a roll or may be of precut sizes. The dispenser allows for easy access to silicone sheeting for wound treatment and adhesive anchors for securement of the silicone sheets, especially in high tension areas of the body.

Barrier system to reduce the rates of infections

A barrier system is provided for use in reducing infections associated with post-operative surgical incision and/or a percutaneous medical device, such as a catheter, that is disposed within the surgical incision. Such a barrier system may include: a barrier device having a skin-contacting surface and a catheter-receiving surface; and an adhesive composition configured for adhering to skin, the barrier device, and/or the catheter so as to form a barrier at or adjacent to an incision in the skin where the catheter is percutaneously inserted through the skin. A tensioning anchor and associated system of two or more tensioning anchors is provided for post-operative wound closure. A method for applying and removing the barrier device and tensioning anchors is also provided.

The biphasic formulation according to the present invention may be arranged in a hydrogel patch which creates an environment that relieves or promotes the healing process for the treatment of insect bites, sunburn, erythema, pruritus, acne, dry skin or callus. In accordance with the present invention, there is provided a biphasic hydrogel composition, comprising 6% or less PVA, physical crosslinking, glycerol as humectant and the use of water impermeable packaging to reach equilibrium of the syneresis and preserve the moisture of the gel during long-term storage.
