APPARATUS ATTACHABLE TO SKIN TO COMMUNICATE TARGETED AREA
An adhesive cover and method of use in which the cover is well-suited to effectively cover a temporary tattoo utilized in radiation therapy treatments. The cover includes a transparent, flexible layer with an optional rigid layer releasably adhered thereto. The first, flexible layer has a lower adhesive surface, an upper low-adhesion surface and a predefined peripheral edge. The second, rigid layer has a lower surface releasably adhered to the upper low-adhesion surface of the first layer, an opposing upper exposed surface, and a peripheral edge cooperative with the predefined peripheral edge of the first layer to preserve the integrity of the first layer during handling and application. The second layer is removed from the first layer only after the first layer is adhered to a patient's skin.

Reduced-pressure, compression systems and apparatuses for use on a curved body part
A system for providing a force to a desired area on a curved body part of a person includes a dressing assembly shaped and configured to be placed on the desired area of the person, a releaseable circumferential member surrounding the curved body part that holds the dressing assembly against the desired area, a sealing subsystem for providing a fluid seal over the dressing assembly and the person's skin, and a reduced-pressure subsystem for providing a reduced pressure to the dressing assembly. When reduced pressure is supplied, the system generates the force against the desired area on the curved body part.
Wound or skin treatment devices and methods
Devices, kits and methods described herein may be for treatment to skin, including but not limited to wound healing, the treatment, amelioration, and/or prevention of scars or keloids. A book-like packaging, applicator and/or tensioning device may be used to apply a dressing to a subject. The packaging, applicator and/or tensioning device may apply and/or maintain a strain in an elastic dressing.
SKIN TREATMENT DEVICES
Devices, kits and methods described herein may be for wound healing, including the treatment, amelioration, or prevention of scars and/or keloids by applying and/or maintaining a pre-determined strain in an elastic skin treatment device that is then affixed to the skin surface using skin adhesives to transfer a generally planar force from the bandage to the skin surface. Applicators are used to apply and/or maintain the strains, and some of the applicators are further configured to provide at least some mechanical advantage to the user when exerting loads onto the skin treatment device.
Transparent Tourniquet and Bandage Material System Utilizing Absorbing Components and Treatment Gas
The present invention provides a method and device for visualizing and treating an injury, wound or skin using a visual tourniquet and skin patch system made of transparent materials. The inventive bandage system is capable of applying pressure while absorbing bodily fluids away from the wound or skin and providing support for the application of one or more medicaments or a combination of treatment gas and/or medicine. The inventive bandage system enables the practitioner to visually inspect and measure the size of the wound over time without removing or touching the bandage or tourniquet thereby reducing pain and contamination of the wound bed. One embodiment of the inventive bandage system continuously controls the wound bed temperature thereby reducing pain and inhibiting bacterial growth. Other embodiments of the inventive bandage system are used as a visual tourniquet to apply a combination of pressures to a wound or skin.
Systems and methods for wound healing
Systems and methods can promote wound healing, including a wound dressing having a wound-facing surface and a second surface. The wound-facing surface can be configured to contact a wound of a patient. There can also be at least one conduit having an interior lumen operably connectable to the second surface of the wound dressing, a central window configured to allow air flow from the interior lumen of the conduit to the wound-facing surface of the wound dressing, and a flexible wrap operably connectable to the conduit.
Support and packaging for membranes
A support assembly for supporting a biological product (e.g., membrane) in an operative position. The support assembly has a base and a cover. A membrane receiving portion of the base defines a plurality of perforations that extend between top and bottom surfaces of the product receiving portion. The cover is releasably coupled to the base in a product-covering position in which the cover overlies the product receiving portion of the base. In the operative position, the biological product engages the top surface of the product receiving portion and the bottom surface of the cover.
Vending machine for retaining and dispensing products
An apparatus for dispensing a product a hygiene product. The apparatus includes a housing for retaining a plurality of products wherein the housing includes a storage rack configured to hold the plurality of products. A weight is movably positioned within the storage rack and is configured to exert a downward force on the plurality of products. A sensor is positioned adjacent to a bottom end of the storage rack. A magnet is affixed to the weight wherein the magnet is configured to substantially align with the sensor once the plurality of products have been completely dispensed from the storage rack.
APPLICATION AID FOR THE TREATMENT OF WOUNDS
The invention relates to a flexible application aid for the treatment of wounds. The application aid can be used in particular for the debridement and/or cleansing of wounds, including the skin surrounding the wound. The application aid according to the invention including a flexible or elastically deformable application wand, facilitates debridement of superficial to deep wounds without the risk of injury to the wound.
