Catheter protector
There is described a protective cover for a body member of a patient having a catheter inserted therein at a catheter insertion point. A sleeve wraps around the body part over the catheter, and comprises a sleeve body covering a substantial surface of the body member. The sleeve body is made of a material that is non-rigid and flexible, to adapt to the surface of the body member. An openable window covers and provides access to the catheter when the protective cover is worn, the openable window being openable with respect to the sleeve body and fastenable by a waterproof fastener. The inner surface of the openable window is for securing an antiseptic agent, wherein the inner surface of the openable window is applied onto the catheter insertion point when the openable window is closed. The protective cover is free of any rigid member.
SKIN COMPRESSION DEVICE AND METHODS OF PRODUCTION AND USE THEREOF
Skin compression devices are disclosed that are formed of a shape memory material and that have multiple tensioning members. Disposal of one or more skin compression devices on the skin of a subject increases the temperature of the shape memory material and causes the tensioning members to bend inward, thereby compressing the area of skin disposed between the tensioning members; this compression shields the compressed skin from tensile loading. Methods of production and use of the skin compression devices are also disclosed.
GOWN SYSTEM
A gown dispenser system has a plurality of gowns, each having a back region, the gowns folded and stacked back region facing up, such that, pulling on the back region of a gown on top of the stack removes that gown from the stack and exposes the back region of the next gown in the stack, an enclosure containing the stack of gowns, the enclosure having an opening exposing the back region of the gown at the top of the stack, enabling a user to grasp the exposed back region and pull the topmost gown from the enclosure, exposing the next gown in the stack. Gowns are drawn from the enclosure one-at-a-time, at need.
Continuous Strips of Sanitary Napkins on a Roll
A strip having a weakened region that defines first and second segments on either side thereof. The first and second segments include corresponding first and second sanitary napkins.
SEAMLESS ELASTIC APPENDAGE COVER
An appendage cover assembly includes cover 101 having a body that forms a cavity. The cover body is seamless and waterproof and has an upper portion adjacent an open end, a tip portion adjacent a distal end, and a central portion between the upper portion and the tip portion. The upper portion of the cover body is configured to selectively expand and contract in size larger and smaller than the size as compared to the other portions. The upper portion is configured to secure the cover to the appendage and/or bandage. The upper portion compresses onto the bandage away from the wound. The central portion avoids compression on the wound.
Protective Cast Cover
The Protective Cast Cover is a cover you wear over your cast. It is made of fabric, any kind of fabric, waterproof, warm, breathable, what ever kind of fabric will work for an individual's needs. For arms it covers the whole arm with a mitten hand over the top of the shoulder. Some of them are shirts, just depends on what the individual request. The cover for legs covers the foot to the top of thigh and can be made as pants, or as shorts on the opposite side of the leg with the cast. If they are in double casts, then both sides would be made the same. This works for arms or legs. Again, just depends on what the individual request. The protective cast cover is meant to keep sand, or debris or even water out of the cast, and give people less stress about their situation.
Silicone wound and scar treatment system and method
The present invention relates to a dispenser for the silicone sheeting and the adhesive anchors and method for treating sites, such as wounds or closed incisions, using the silicone sheeting and anchors. The silicone sheeting may be provided in the form of a roll, which includes a leader. The silicone sheeting may be cut from the roll, or may be of precut sizes. Adhesive anchors may be cut from a roll or may be of precut sizes. The dispenser allows for easy access to silicone sheeting for wound treatment and adhesive anchors for securement of the silicone sheets, especially in high tension areas of the body.
Reduced-Pressure, Compression Systems And Apparatuses For Use On A Curved Body Part
A system for providing a force to a desired area on a curved body part of a person includes a dressing assembly shaped and configured to be placed on the desired area of the person, a releaseable circumferential member surrounding the curved body part that holds the dressing assembly against the desired area, a sealing subsystem for providing a fluid seal over the dressing assembly and the person's skin, and a reduced-pressure subsystem for providing a reduced pressure to the dressing assembly. When reduced pressure is supplied, the system generates the force against the desired area on the curved body part.
MEDICAL SUPPLY DISPENSER FOR AMBULANCE USE
Medical supply dispensers for ambulance use with a spring loaded dispenser for packaged bandages and a dispenser for flat intra venous IV bags, both intended for accessible mounting on the interior surfaces of an ambulance, within arm's reach of an Emergency Medical Technician.
WOUND AND BANDAGE PROTECTION SYSTEM AND METHOD
A wound/bandage protector configured as a wrap, a sock/mitten, or a bandage may be made out of stretchable material. The wrap may have one or more fastening straps as well as possibly a first catch fastening surface. The sock/mitten may have a fastening strap and a sheath. The wrap, the sock/mitten, and the bandages may have apertures and aperture covers. In addition, the wound/bandage protectors as well as the bandages may have diamond or triangular gauze configurations with the gauze pad having three or four primary corners, the primary corners of the gauze pad in most instances being oriented towards edges of the body portion or length or width tangents of the body portion, preferably mid-points or mid-sections of the length or width tangents or body portion edges.
